OMG I always imagined this song in dnb fantastic remix❤

Hi! I know this video is from awhile ago but I'm graduating high school this year as I've been a music producer and audio engineered on a presonus 32 channel mixer for my school for 3 years and wanted to apply to Berklee in order to pursue their MP&E major. I've been playing piano for 10 years, (more recently playing piano for my school's Jazz band), but I have little theory knowledge as I've mostly played by ear (Of course I'm willing and prepared to expand my theory knowledge). With that being said, when I found out I could use my MPC ONE+ with Ableton and my already existing equipment as an EDI to audition as opposed to piano, I figured it would align more closely towards the major I want to pursue. I've used FL Studio for the past few years but I've been transitioning to Ableton for the sound design aspects of Ableton and now also the live performance aspect of being able to clip launch via my MPC and process effects as well. I know you say not all producers can be live performers, but in my situation as someone who has live performed on piano, where I am otherwise unable to audition with my true intentions of attending the school, what do you think would be the best way to translate music production into live performance with my EDI.

This is great, you are so direct and upbeat, no nonsense, very excellent. For awhile i've been recording just by analog from guitars, keyboard and vocals into DAWs, but i feel like i need to do more with synths and drums and from listening to EDM it makes me want to add other elements. I'm trying to figure out if i even need a controller or if it will be too much trouble. My drums were originally put together using a DR. Rhythm machine but i want to play them more directly and i don't really have space for an electronic drum set. It's always confusing to try and figure all this stuff out. Thanks for a quick start!

Hello! thanks a lot for the video. I'm wondering can we delete just the audio effects that i added in the audio/midi track?? I just can't find a way ... please help !!
@dolltrick2 ай бұрын
you're welcome! you can apply a similar deleting method to what is covered in this video. instead of tapping on the track name, you'll tap on the device name, which is located towards the top edge of the LED screen.

Hi @dolltr!ck , sorry newbie here on controller setup.. i have question on how to hear the sound from controller.. May i know after the controller connected to the PC with Software, I can just plug in Headphone into the PC, then when i play on controller can be hear "live" sound on headphone? Thanks..
@dolltrick2 ай бұрын
in some cases, this may work. it depends on your setup, so i would recommend trying it out and seeing how things go!

thank you for this video. not sure if you still take questions on this matter.. I was wondering if an effects pedal board/loopstation alongside a traditional instrument like guitar ran through ableton or max would be considered an EDI...? i saw on one of the showcases on the edi page that someone was using effects pedals/loopstation. sorry if it's dumb question :)
@IganosKHyeon3 ай бұрын
i guess a better question would be if i can use effects pedals and loopstation as the controller aspect within the three requirements :)
@dolltrick3 ай бұрын
for the purposes of this program, you would still be missing the independent computing device and user-configured software component(s). it is possible that the person you saw using effects pedals or a loopstation was still using those devices with their laptop and ableton live. additionally, if the loopstation is not functioning as a controller, it will not meet the controller requirement.
