Can you show me how velocity banking will look like when all the debt are paid and only using the cards for expenses? I need to see how this will look like when all debt is paid. Thank you!!!!!!!
@Moving2Win

You can't do velocity banking with no debt. Velocity Banking is a debt pay off strategy utilizing a LOC. Once you're out of debt and just using the credit cards for cash back, you go back to the regular way of banking.

@@Moving2Win once all debt is paid, wouldn’t you still want to use a credit card to benefit with rewards and credit score?

@Moving2Win 22 сағат бұрын
@@tinasibley6024 Yes of course, that's why I said, you go back to the normal way of banking. You put your pay check in checking account and leave it there. You then pay the credit card balance in full, from checking account, rather than paying from the LOC. Also this is when people usually transition from velocity banking to infinite banking. Remember, velocity banking is for when you have debt. When debt is paid off you go back to normal way of banking. Let me know if this helped.

Yes, but to be on the safe side just keep an eye. It usually takes 1 or 2 billing cycles for your new due date to switch. In your case it sounds like you're good until November 28. What you're going to find out is, when you get paid on the 20th and pay all 3 of your cards, you're going to be 5 weeks ahead of payment. For people that get paid weekly, they're usually 2 months ahead.

Quick question, so Im working on my November bills and Im looking at one of my credit cards that I changed the due date to the end of the month now I already made a payment on Sept 23th. and it shows minimum due $0 and statement closing date Nov 4th does that mean Im good until the end of November to make another payment? 🤔

I had a 7k limit on my Cap One Quicksilver. Because I have bad credit and both of my credit cards were at the limit. I paid 5k at once with my tax return. They freakin’ lowered my limit to 2k after that. For some reason, making a big chunk alerted the credit card company. I’m afraid to make a big payment like that to my Discover It card because I don’t want the same thing to happen to that limit. until my credit score increases and, for me, that’s by paying that “$800” in smaller increments over the course of the month.

I thought we didn’t stack up cash for saving when using velocity banking and instead we’re using a cc as an emergency fund, putting that $200 in savings toward debt. Unless I got that wrong along the way. Because that’s the part that makes me nervous is not having a savings
@Moving2Win
@Moving2Win 11 күн бұрын
You can do whatever you want, it's your budget. The reason in VB it's said no savings is because, what pays you more than 30% interest? Credit cards are out here charging 20%+ while savings no more than 6%. So by simply just putting your savings on the credit card you're beating the 6% savings. But if you feel better having 6% savings over saving 30% interest credit card you can do that. Have a great day.

How do you do velocity banking with minimal cash flow and multiple maxed out credit cards? Do you have to pay one card off first to make room to add monthly expenses
@Moving2Win
@Moving2Win 15 күн бұрын
No. You just need to be able to run expenses through the credit cards. Mainly by bill matching. Bill matching gives you some breathing room, because it allows you to use one dollar twice.

I get confused where they say that we get another $125 of cash flow by eliminating the minimum payments that are due each month. (For instance on this video) if we throw extra cash at the credit cards then that automatically eliminates the $125 of minimum payments that are due for all credit cards. 🤔🫨🫤
@Moving2Win
@Moving2Win 17 күн бұрын
When you bill match you longer have a minimum monthly due. So this frees up the 125 to 1) just throw it at that card as usual 2) throw it at another card. So if you go with the 1) what you are doing is putting 250 dollars. 125 minimum payment 125+ bill matching. So lets say 125 minimum payment + 100 water + 100 electric. You pay 325 total on the credit card. The water and electric only get paid once a month, so the 200 push down your average daily balance the whole month. Saving you interest. The 125 minimum payment stays on the card forever. Unless you overspend. Let me know if this made sense.

But then I start using it again bfore the closing date. And then It reports back with high utilization by the time it closes from me spending from the 21st through the 5th. 😢

How do you handle bills that can go on a card but charge a fee if you do?
@Moving2Win
@Moving2Win 18 күн бұрын
To oversimplify. If they charge 3% or higher fee, you pay it from checking. If they charge a flat fee look at the cash back compared to the flat fee. Example 1.50 flat fee for water credit card payment. You have Citi double cash, 2% cash back. Water bill 100 dollars. That means you pay 1.50 to pay, but you make 2 dollars back. So you pay with credit card.

Great advice for anyone carrying high credit card balances; however, I'm wondering about the opposite scenario. My credit score actually went DOWN, and I think it's because I was overpaying my credit cards. We took a trip a couple months back, and I knew a credit card payment would be due during my time out of the country, so I prepaid all charges, and on the closing date, I either had a zero balance or a credit balance (I forget which). At any rate, for a couple months, no debt was reported since I didn't have any, and now my credit score is lower. I'm wondering if there's any correlation between the two.

🤣🤣🤣 just don’t use a credit card. If I happen to need a credit card for some payment it’s paid off automatically each month. Never have to worry about interest. If I don’t have the money I don’t buy it. The whole credit score system is a scam to keep people in debt and keep collecting interest.
