I stopped posting on my blog once because I had posted about a parasite infestation I had, trying to educate people, and some really mean people decided to troll me, share the pictures and make fun of me. Then they trolled me for years, no matter where I went or what name I used. I finally just closed all my blogs, closed all my social media accounts and stopped posting at all. Midget is offensive. My sister and nephew both have a form of dwarfism. Whether you suffer from the same is really irrelevant. I think the person commenting was way too hard but they weren’t 100% wrong. We can all do better.

Great idea for watch parts! I USED to be a jeweler, when I was younger and could see better. So many times a small part or even a small diamond will get “lost” on top of a jeweler’s bench. At this time, I need a new battery in my Cyma watch (4 of the tiniest screws on planet earth) and I’m hesitant to take the back off and maybe dropping one; even IF I had a little white bowl to put them in!

Years ago, I started calling myself a “tech-tard”, simply to explain my TOTAL ineptitude, when it comes to computers and ANY related technology. One time, a woman told me that it was not an appropriate term in “this day and age” and offensive to some people. I understand and would never label someone ELSE, but at the time, my response was, “You DO realize I’m talking about ME, right?” She told me it still wasn’t okay. Well…it doesn’t change the fact that “tech-tard” perfectly describes what I am, when it comes to technology, sooo…be offended or not; that’s NOT my business!

Betty, I am so sorry and you owe no one an apology. I just found your channel and I love your videos. Watched the Temu one and was so inspired and I went and ordered from it. I never have but you convinced me. Nasty people are so brave on their keyboards and phones. I personally feel that people who do videos are being very brave and people can be so shallow. In 1967 I met a lady who had dwarfism, and she described herself as a midget till the day she died in 2004. She did have the typical bone deformities, but she didn’t let it hold her back. And thank God she was not defined by it any more than she had to be.

I understand why this caused a reaction but also know as a creator on KZbin you will experience unkind remarks. It goes with the territory. The only way to avoid this is to not be a KZbinr.

This came up in my feed. People are just so uneducated and feel so safe behind their keyboard. Dwarfism is about gentics, not just height. We can't see your gentics (and there is absolutely no reason in the world you should share then unless you want to) so we can't say "you are not a dwarf". Imagine trying to gatekeep a medical condition like that.

My husband calls them Keyboard Commandos. They are a lower form of life.
