Exactly!😀 With long haul, after the first 7 hours or so, my back definitely starts to feel it. I discovered these solo seats by accident, never even occurred to me to try it since I assumed they were always going to be taken or were reserved for crew. They brought it at different times, especially the cookie and pizza, but you can ask them for light snacks like nuts at any time. You can also go and take it from the galley. I do that sometimes, depending on the flight and the plane. Like on Singapore Airlines SQ24, since Premium Economy is at the back, when I go to the bathroom, I'll stop by the galley for the snacks 😀 Thanks for watching! Exactly, that's the mystery. Searching the web, there seems to be multiple reasons why these seats exist, but I'm unable to find the exact reasoning. Even the whole charging extra thing only happened recently. One of the theories is that because the plane tapers towards the tail, so the last few rows can't accommodate a 2-4-2 configuration, there's another theory on how it has something to do with the crew rest area just above the tail galley. Nothing fancy, that's why it's kinda blurry and bounces a lot, not very good at stabilizing. It's still just my old samsung phone attached to a stick with a gimbal. Too obvious as well, I need to find something that's more surreptitious, like a go pro but even smaller and with better stabilization. Been flying KAL long haul international 2 to 3 times a year for the last 5 years. I have been mostly on the A330-200, B737, B747-8 and the A380. They all sucked. The food was horrible (cheap store brought rice, cheap vegetables, and cheap bit of what looked like beef) etc,. KAL is overrated. In my experience Singapore and EVA are leaps and bound ahead. I only fly KAL because the flights arrive in the morning in the USA.

That's interesting, I'm glad you shared your experience! Food and the IFE definitely matter, I concur that Singapore Airlines food is superior, and KAL economy does have a somewhat older IFE system. But in terms of the service from the flight attendants, I'd say they're pretty much on par with EVA and Singapore Airlines. The leg room was fantastic, a very comfy 38 inches of pitch, and thanks to the bucket storage instead of another seat, it feels even more spacious since I didn't need to squeeze my stuff into the seat pocket or anything. I've tried a few premium economies on other airlines, and this is the closest to feeling like business class I think I'll ever get (not that I know what business class is like in a wide body plane 😀) It is truly special in the sense that one is actually seated solo in premium economy. I can't think of any other airline that does that. That's just amazing to me. Thanks for watching! 😀

does the 42H solo seat recline all the way? initially paid for this seat but having second thoughts now especially since it is right in front of the toilet

Your best bet is 41C or 41H, from what I remember the guy behind me couldn't recline all the way because of the wall, but that's not the real issue though. Once in flight and the curtains are drawn, and people start going to the toilet - 42H and the dude in seat 43G kept getting bumped by people coming out from the toilet and the galley area. I think it was a real pain in the a** for them, but for me in 41H, it was fantastic. The getting bumped thing also applies to 42C (because of the curtains) even though there's no toilet directly behind that seat. Thanks for watching! 😀

I'm thinking maybe in a coupla weeks...it'll either be the JFK - Singapore, or the Singapore to JFK flight. Although one is a little shorter than the other, both still count as the world's longest commercial flight. Thanks for watching! I appreciate the views! 😀

It's happened to me at least twice, but the train eventually shows up, though late. Heck, one time they kicked us out of the train coz it broke, etc. Delays a plenty with Metro North *sigh*😂 though people tell me that NJ Transit is even worse. Thanks for watching! 🙂

I appreciate so much footage, but I found myself spending more time reading than watching, so I would drop the unnecessarily pessimistic captions. Delays happen for a variety of reasons and they suck, we know. Maybe you can try Delta One some time.

Over the summer if I'm not mistaken. I mentioned Christmas in the beginning of the video because it's much more fun to be in the area at that time of the year. 14:35 You are absolutely correct, but the AirTrain doesn't go to the NTA directly because PANYNJ is actually working to replace that AirTrain, so it wouldn't make sense for it to directly connect when it'd be demolished a few years later. Same reason as well since a new Terminal B is in the works too. Also, that closed station was either the OTA, which is well through the demolition process at this point, or the employee lot that was closed to make way for new construction. Just so you know. :)

There's going to be a new Terminal B? Hmm...that's something to look forward to. Maybe there is a reason to try Newark again in a coupla years. Right now for me, getting to JFK is the easiest. Though, from my last trip out of LaGuardia, that airport is super nice now. I'm just glad the big 3 airports in the area are finally upping their game. The last 10 years or so they have truly sucked. It was weird encountering this car like that here. But many weeks later, it was gone. I wonder what happened to it? It's stuff like this that make me take public transportation more and more, having a car is such a hassle sometimes but sadly still need one to get around. If only the trains were better here *sigh*. The first time I ever saw it happening in real life was when I was in a Czech Airlines flight in Prague Airport during the winter. Back then it was still know as Ruzyne International. It was really cool seeing the plane I was on being de-iced. Not something that happens all the time. I considered it a good luck charm. Indeed, those were the better years of my life, nowadays though...not so much. Even Czech Airlines itself is pretty much gone now. How the world has changed. Thank you for watching! 😊
