Best way is to hop on the 27 bus from anywhere close to you, and hop off at the bus stop just outside the tunnel entrance on the Jarrow side. You can't miss it since you'll see the massive exhaust vent for the tyne tunnel.

As far as I'm aware, yes. The staff told me it never breaks down, so there's no need to replace it!

I think 2.5m/s isn't accurate because the travel took a little bit more than 20 seconds from floor zero to floor 12. If it's really 2.5m/s the travel time has to be less than 20 seconds.

It all depends on the distance between floors and in that building ground to 1 is a large gap, aswell as all the other floors which have around a 2 foot gap.

Haha the lifts in Concert Square car park at 4:00 are actually Marryat & Scott lifts - they were just modded by H+C....glad they are still there and that epic motor sound.
