Only purpose of those specific boxes is to teach players how to select stats on equipment , there is no other use for those boxes so you can destroy them. Usually while leveling all drops will have already assigned stats but in future you can get more powerful gear where you can select stats.

Good stuff! I was sold on the game when I found out how much detail they put into the storyline. The voice acting is great, and the game is really fun to play. I'd be interested to see a GW3.

Just wanna saw your opening minutes complaining about gearing and being behind kind of makes no sense just because of how you mentioned Korea and then it coming over to us. It sounds like you'd be playing against Korean players with max gear when in reality, they are different servers and u start from a fresh slate lol. Gearing isn't really hard to get either, it's just a grind but one that you can leech along with other players quite easily to be honest. Perhaps it would feel different coming into the game now and not at launch a couple months ago but personally, I feel like that is the least of that games problems. They need to fix movement desync and other oddities that just pull the game down. I'm curious to see where the game is at after a year or so of taking in western feedback on the game. For me though, Gw2 will next scratch that itch since it doesn't do constant vertical progression and I find the skill system too limiting personally, I've never been a fan of it but at least the game is smooth for the most part. Though some bugs still persist in the game like 1h sword charge can bug and still not do the damage it should more than 10 years later.... it is what it is though I guess. I'll try out GW3 if it comes around lol.

it looks and sounds so dated and combat is casual though =/
@BattleRisk22 күн бұрын
It is a bit older. However, the story and gameplay are really nice. It's actually really fluid. I recommend giving it a try.
@Aereton10 күн бұрын
combat is everything BUT casual in fact, it's a huge problem that the large casual playerbase can't fight for shit casual players do like only 10% of the damage more sweaty players can dish out - and not because of gear difference but because of builds, stat distribution, skill selection, skill priority and positioning
@BattleRisk8 күн бұрын
@ Sounds like someone needs to lay out some of that information so the casual player base can learn this. I'll give it a try!
@Aereton8 күн бұрын
@ well, that casual player base is largely immune to this kind of information, and I don't mean that in a rude or malicious way - it's just that the overall player base is on average a bit older, like 30-40 year olds, just wanting to login after a long workday for an hour or two, beating up some bosses or whatever it's kind of like boomers that just want to shut off their brain in front of the TV, but for millenials

movement is a big deal for me when it comes to games.. Running in Throne and Liberty felt good, BUT... flying/running as a bird or a wolf/dog felt aweful. Guild Wars 2's mounts just feels good. They have weight and momentum that makes flying and running on mounts feel so good and immersive and they have subtle animations that makes them feel alive and not just a speedboost.

I'm in a super small guild (only friends, less than 10, and I'm pretty much the only one who plays regularly) and I realized early on that the game wasn't going to be a lot of fun for them (I'm an MMO junkie, so my tolerance is higher for this kind of BS). I hope the whales to whom they are catering give them all the money they need to make their model work for them, otherwise I don't really even see the point of their releasing this on console....
@BattleRisk2 ай бұрын
Yea it doesn't seem like this game is projected for longevity...it's New World all over again with the money grab
@lobete2 ай бұрын
My guild only recently started handling gear via an "all to guild, distribute later" kind of system...with alot of complaints from members. The more I learn about loot distribution though, the more I think such management is going to be necessary. The game has basically decided that your group's DPS classes should get all gear and lucent, so it is really hard to imagine any guild gearing people up without trying to find ways around it.
@BattleRisk2 ай бұрын
Exactly! Again, where does it leave the Tanks? The T&L devs are definitely going to need to look at this or they're going to continue to have a huge player base drop off.

The fastest way to train your weapon is doing open dungeons with active buff food (+50%) but yes, the training dew helps. Tower contracts are also not to underestimate since they give like 36 dew each. As far as I know, those (and dungeons) are the only sources for weapon exp so far

dungeons also give this item. but cant decide which is more efficient. sometimes dungeons take so long time. but with a decent group it ends within minutes.
@BattleRisk2 ай бұрын
Yes, that's true. Dungeons also give other rewards with the training dew. If you have a great team formed, I'd say farm dungeons. If you're going solo, I believe the contracts are more efficient. But, you could always do both so you don't get bored. That's what I do 😄
@zeasv28262 ай бұрын
Trqining dew... Thats your tip... Wow thanks
@BattleRisk2 ай бұрын
No, not forgetting to do contracts to gain the training dew quickly is my tip since it's the fastest way I've found to level mastery. Other than that, you just have to grind while using the weapons. I'll keep searching to see if there are any other ways to gain fast levels on weapons other than the training dew.
