The dog in this video was nine months old. Some dogs take a little longer. If it is a mixed breed it may be a mix that does not grow hair like a Tzu. Good luck with your baby.

+Debi Coleman I believe the owner wanted this cut and this groomer is an artist to have done it so beautifully. I have a beautiful shih Tzu and she is in full coat great to show her and show her off. However, I live on a lake and have boats and jet ski that she loves and she loves the water and when her hair is wet it weighs more than she does so she had a really hard time in the water both pool and lake. It was impossible for her to swim and dangerous because she could drown if she fell in even with a jacket. This style and the Korean style you can see on the Maltese Obsession dogs lets you keep the illusion of the long coat and gives the dog the freedom to be a dog and enjoy life more, at least that is the way we see it. we will probably keep her top knot and mustache and beard a little longer.
