Way back in the day (heh-heh), Thee Buttholes played outside on the Lawn by the Washington Monument in D.C. (the prick of the world, according to Three Day Stubble's Donald the Nut). There were hallucinogens. And police. We bummed pizza from shops and fed the unhoused and hungry. Kept a case of beer in some bushes for easy access. BS played until authorities pulled the plug, cutting their amplification. Gibby got his bullhorn and they just kept on playing. Eventually, the long, hairy arm of the law moved in to disburse the crowd. I refused to leave w/o my beers. A spittle spraying cop screamed at me to "get the fuck out, NOW!" When he turned his back to accost another, I went behind him, fetched my half a case, tucking it firmly under one arm & skipped on down the road to meet my friends. Good times. Great show.

I like Danzig voice only because his voice is so low and distinct that the Misfits are just that Misfits and now with KZbin and Spotify it loses it's intrigue on knowing that if you like them you are a cult follower which I am and I still love his solo work and Samhain too.
