Excellent review. I like the extra commentary at the end that goes beyond just reviewing what is in the book, and into what you really thought about it. I think I enjoyed the issue a bit more than you did, but we are on the same page insofar as being eager to see what comes next.

He picked up some of her powers because of the end of the absolute power event that just happened. I think they may be also going to use him as the conduit between what happened to Darkseid and the creation of the Absolute Universe. He may be the last of the Justice League to get his own Absolute version.

I really hope the popularity of Marvel Rivals will transfer over to comic sales, especially for lesser known characters like Magik.

The art was great but the color was too flashy. The story was boring and the bad guys didn’t pose a threat to the justice league. With such a large powerful force like the Justice League, you need a more powerful threat to make me feel like anyone is in danger and the hero has to dig deep to overcome such evil and show how heroic they are. Nothing interesting happened in this issue. It feels like I’ve seen this type of story before.

Speaking of the helmet, I wanted to depict it as a form of twisted humor while also showing Tony making an effort to maintain the bare minimum of superhero lawfulness. Of course, Tony wouldn’t even blink at the cost of a fine, but still-California law requires wearing a helmet when riding a scooter, right? Even if it’s a stolen one.😂

Whatever you hear, do not open this door. Loved that line. Loved it even more after seeing it was a throw back to what his father had said right before he died. Excellent kick off to the Absolute universe. Next up: Wonder Woman.

I like these Marvel/Disney mash-ups. I already have "What If?...Donald Duck Became Thor?" on pre-order and I hope we'll get more of these. This comic was silly as hell and a good spoof of the Old Man Logan story.

Finally Betsy is out of the horrible Captain Britain duds hope she slowly drops the Captain Britain name it's so not X-Men. Forge is given the spotlight he rightfully deserves but I don't want him on the Moira path become a calculating psychopath with AI. Hope Sage snaps him out if he slips into that. Surge is a big treat helps a great deal providing juice and energy conversion with added super speed. I got my theory on Tank could be Gentle the X classmate of Surge or Colossus.

My favorite thing about MCP is how often they nail the feel of the characters from a mechanical standpoint. There are some misses, but they hit it out of the park more often than they don't. I'm extremely impressed with the folks at AMG for making such a variety of interesting characters.
