Yeah, "If There Was a Man" is a brilliant song, but this version would definitely have been better as end credits.

I decided to convert to Judaism literally a month before I watched this movie. And whenever my faith is feeling weak I listen to this theme. I know tonnes of people think religion is just a way of coping but when I die and I am buried at the Synagogue I want this theme to be played. And whether there is an afterlife or not my soul will join with Hashem 🕎

The piano at the beginning sounds much like Giorgio Moroder main title. I know it's not the most unique of tunes but I'm not crazy, right?

You couldn't wish for a better song and performance to end what was to be John Barry's last Bond score. A truly excellent film and score.

Timothy Dalton is what I always saw James Bond to be, the best by far, I was born in 73 and grew up watching Roger Moore, I think I saw Connery first as a kid though on tv, it seemed like James Bond used to be on telly every week when I was young? and always at Xmas. I remember loving the Spy who loved me and I remember not being fond of Connery because of my dad who favoured Roger Moore? Timothy Dalton is and always will be Bond for e closely followed by Craig, gutted the financial wrangles and the legal stuff robbed us of more of Daltons films, he was great.
