it was -5, but then he divided it by -2. two negatives make a positive, so it becomes +5.

What is the steel plate object? We tried to simulate it in our Algebra class, and it failed miserably. Any recommendations for a steel plate surface?

I'm still a little confused, if you divided it by -2, would x be 1/2? why is it normal (x-4)^2? help plz
@oxxn1114 ай бұрын
he used division to cancel out the multiplication, so (x-4)^2 would be left alone

This was really helpful. I'm relearning math on my own as an adult. I only recently learned about Wolfram Alpha and haven't tried it yet. I didn't realize that you could put these kinds of specifications in when using it to check answers. That's good to know!

you can have square-rooted fractions as well? doesn't that give inaccuracy on the graph? what about all the decimal numbers? is there a way to get a whole number?
@BeastlyBorn355 жыл бұрын
1. yes you can 2. why would it 3. A fraction is a decimal number because it not whole 4. a fraction like 5/2 can't be written as a whole number
