It’s weird how the other publisher “Candlewick Press MA” of this book with the red cover lists Tomislav Tomic also as one of the illustrators but it’s not in this version. Happened to see this title in Taralovescoloring July to August haul and she was flipping and gave an up close on all the names printed. Also the red cover version is oddly more expensive than this version.

I love that Fantomorphia page! Which Inktense colours did you use? I love using inktense but can’t figure out a good metal combination!

Thank you! For that I believe I used Bark, Saddle Brown, Tan and Scilian Yellow - or something similar to that. Basically a very dark, dark, medium and light.

I hope you do! I think its a good check in to take stock of the wips esp the older ones we just put aside for frustration reasons. Time makes it much easier to approach some things and I definitely am enjoying knocking them out off the list!

Thank you! That's good ole distress ink. I was going to do a soft yellow and greens but turned out my yellow distress ink was dry so I changed plans, but I don't mind where it ended up! Sometimes you just gotta go with the flow

I envy you, I got like 140 Wips, but I am also trying hard to cut it down. Curious to see you working on some of yours, especially the ones that need a bit of work, as I got some similar "distasters" that could do with some fixing and so it probably will be helpful and certainly inspirational to see you try and work some of those pages over.

140 is a lot, but I know you can do it! It takes time but its definitely nice to clear them out. The disaster ones are going to be interesting, but I'm determined to figure something out. Little bit at a time, even get some off the list is better than none.

Not a sit down formal tutorial, but I coloured that page live so you can definitely watch how I do fur in those. Mostly it's working with sharp pencils and doing lots of lil lines in the direction of the fur.

Have had my 2 grandkids all week, so busy keeping them entertained. Lots of coloring, playing games and of course, pool time. They go home today and 2 of the cats can’t wait as they are fed up with hiding in the basement. They come up after kiddos are asleep. It’s been a great 2 weeks with them as we were together at Sundance and they came home with me. Phoebe is 8 and Phineas is 6.

I feel that. there is always something else I "should" be doing, but I remind myself colouring is my mental wellness activity, and that is also a productive and important task to do as well. There shouldn't be any pressure with art. I hope you find the time you need guilt free to colour

Kia ora amie! What you said at the beginning of the video is so important - we need to put our mental health first! I often have to remind myself that if i get stressed colouring i need to remind myself that this is my hobby and I do what brings me joy! It's hard for us on social media as we want to share everything and don't want to let anyone down but our mental health and enjoyment is the most important thing and no one wants us to force ourselves to create content when we're not feeling it! 💞 So glad you picked our fox buddy colour page as one of your favourites - I just love it 😍😍😍 thank you so much for your lovely words about my channel - it rwally made me smile 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Hello Amie. I am Wanda from Atlanta, Georgia. Just found your channel today. I was looking for a flip through of this book. I purchased it because a KZbin channel I follow colored a page in this book. It was absolutely adorable. Although she didn't do a flip through, I still bought it. 😂 You are right, it is expensive. And the shipping costs are crazy to the USA. I believe it will be worth it. Thank you for showing the book in such great detail. Really enjoyed this video. God bless you.

Nice Pages, but one ? Why dont you copy the page from Selenas book and color it that way? Thats what i do when its annoying with the paper ( yeah Selena Fenech is one of the worst i have workes in, and Zenmaster Coloring books are even worse)

Its a logical option, but I begrudge having to copy it (paying for paper and the copying/printing) when I have a book with it already. As I said, I also already have the greyscale version without the paper issue so I'd rather work in that then pay for essentially a third copy of the book. I still have some play options, and I know pencils on their own will work on the paper, but I also know me and how I like to work so basing mediums are important. I'll keep trying, but I'm also prepared to write the book off. I have several places I can donate it so it wont go to waste at all

I have the same issue with all 3 of my Selina Fenech books. I hate the paper! I have other Amazon paper coloring books that do not give me no where near the issues I have with her's. I do not understand it. Great pages!

I didn't write down the excat combo sorry, but it was based with a bright red alcohol marker, and then I used walnut brown and deep reds for shadows, and a bit of orangea and yellowa for highlights to create dimension. I just made sure that my highlight tones where warm bright undertones, and the shadows were cooler tones to help keep that red vibrant. Hope that helps

Wow! You did so many gorgeous pages! I believe Mariola bludek does have some books available for purchase on her Etsy shop I’m unsure if they are mermaid books though. Wow so many beautiful pages and so many merms!!! 😍😍 I love what you said about using water based markers in the Disney stained glass book - sometimes you just need to scribble colour on a page to clear your mind and that’s just as important as the more complicated pencil colourings 💕💕 I have so many favourites!!! I love the dream weaver mermaid, mythic world mermaid(I completely ran out of time to finish her off but everyone’s were absolutely stunning 😍😍), the boules de poils pages - especially the witchy cat that made me say wow out loud 😂 and of course I adore the forest intelligence 😍😍

I'm so glad that the comment resonated with you. I think we get a bit overwhelmed at times seeing all these beautiful perfect pages and thinking our work needs to be that all the time - but its about the process and what it does for us. Colouring is for me a mental wellness activity, and sometimes that means grabbing water based markers and just scribbling to achieve what I need. It's easy to forget that at times. Hopefully you'll get back to the mythic world merm soon! Completely understandable you ran out of time, I saw you had a big month as well! Thank you so much for watching <3
