It's like something I saw in a viral shark videos video on SHARK BYTES. This guy caught a juvenile lemon shark and was holding it in the water between his legs. He could have just let that shark swim off but then, what does he do? He throws it in the air out into the water. I'm like "Really?! Did You have to do that?!" People that kill sharks or do stuff like that to sharks.............TWATS!!!!! Killing sharks is wrong!

I always thought this species was Moore tropical. I live in the Pacific Northwest. Would they be found in the Strait of Juan de Fuca? Thanks for sharing.😊

We gotta, and will keep pushing for more regulations to help with shark conservation! We will fight back against anyone who opposes these policies! We will save the sharks!

I read in one of my shark books that one reason scalloped hammerhead sharks gather at seamounts is for mating. The female scalloped hammerhead sharks will form a school where the females fight to be in the center of. They do this by corkscrew swimming and ramming the backs of smaller rival scalloped hammerhead sharks, driving the smaller females to the outskirts of the school. A Male scalloped hammerhead shark will then swim through the center of the school thrusting his mid section from side to side, showing off his claspers and select a mate. (a large dominant female at the center of the school) Observations have noted that once the male scalloped hammerhead shark has selected a mate, both the male and female swim off together, possibly to mate at a later period.

When I say "I love sharks and I study sharks" I mean I love all species of sharks and I study all species of sharks. 🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈 Putting more regulations on the catch limits on blue sharks and a total fishing ban on mako sharks are definitely big wins for shark conservation.

I learned to dive with Orca Divers in Chorlton back in 2007 which Caroline and Nick ran. I recently got back to diving and I was curious to see what happened to them... I guess I have my answer! Really glad to see you're working on such a fantastic project.

Most sharks 🐋🦈 are essential predators to keep the ecological balance. Others are plankton eaters, not predators, like the rare Mega shark and the whale shark. They must be protected.

Great update...please add images or footage during the podcast if you can, to help aid our understanding of the presenter's or guest's descriptions of the shark, rays or skates you're referring to...brilliant idea to create these podcasts, we can all keep uptodate with emerging/existing projects + latest scientific information, so when we are talking with our public audience we can refer to this info with confidence!
