my psp2000 battery latch broke on the shell side, does the clear protective case that covers the whole psp keep the battery hatch closed pretty good?

I use Linux since `97, its my main desktop since '99, and I can absolutely see why its still down in numbers on the desktop. That open source leads to improved code is a myth, programmers like to write their own stuff, not improve upon code of others, and so we have seen essentials replaced, not improved, in wave after wave, breaking user space again and again, and this habit is defended by fanboys on every forum. My old Loki games stopped working, just one example among countless others, while most of my old windows games still run. One of the main "breakers" is Redhat. Whatever change they think of, it will find its way down to all of us. If there would be a conspiracy to prevent success of Linux on Desktop, they would do exactly as is done spearheaded by Redhat, and then followed by most every other distro out there, mostly out of necessity. Linux software, and ultimately Linux on Desktop, is unreliable, not because it is unstable, but because it is inconsistent, cluttered, fast changing, and breaks older software. Its a brutal mess. Systemd, Pipewire, Wayland, whatever "hot stuff" comes next. Forget about programs relying on the replaced stuff, its old, it stinks, don't touch it, move on, just make something new, cool. Why is Linux then so successful on the server? The server has different rules, and this is where long term releases go. After 5 years you usually don't upgrade on the server, you set up a new one, on more powerful hardware, and then migrate your content to it.

Fun fact: You can still use X11 if you need to get things done on KDE. Performance on X11 can no longer be kept up with the complexity I throw it at. After using X11 on a touch monitor, the touch on it has been very inconsistent and not calibrated. Not a single update to a 30+ year-old fossil that allows me to do what I need to do. As for Wayland, the touch on it has not only improved, so did performance overall and it works 10x better than it ever did on both Windows and X11 on Linux. To sum this all up, You don't know what you're talking about because you've never showed any proof of debugging or demonstration of Wayland performing badly. You're only complaining just to complain yet you expect things to just be handed to you on a silver platter when it's already there. You've just not contributed to a single thing. Weird, I have none of these issues on Fedora 40 which got KDE 6 and Wayland. Except that autotype does not work in KeePassXE anymore. Didn't test screen capture with OBS yet though. I also had an issue where XNView MP would crash if the resize in the viewport due to click and zoom took too long and Wayland thought the connection broke. WTF? Fixed with a QT flag that puts it into Xorg emulation. Just minor things but it's getting on my nerves. But Wayland also has benefits and does some things better than Xorg. For example the system doesn't hang or crash anymore when I swap to a totally different display that I use for reading in the bed. (I hate laptops)

sounds like kde issue, kde is actual dogshit. Gnome still has x if you want that, but x has insurmountable problems and eventually we need to move on to a new platform in spite of the temporary inconvenience and buggyness.

Just wanted to say thanks for this video. Picked up an OGA Black Edition for GBA gaming and it's great. Prefer it over the RG351P because of the GBC style dpad and buttons. Also, usb c to c charging actually works!

Wayland is a scuffed, but for me it is smoother than X11 with my multi monitor setup. It's baffling that they wanted to implement a security system like android or mac os (a good idea) but didn't even lay the ground work for it, they literally just didn't implement screen sharing etc until the portals project filled in the gaps and made it actually usable. Personally I'm quite happy with the portal API as it provides nice features like standardized file pickers regardless of toolkits, but this should have been PART of Wayland, not bolted on mid development. Plus fuck gnome and nvidia for wanting to do everything their own special way.

Do not throw away the original sony psp battery even if it is bloated. In this case you can open it up carefully and use the official battery board and casing just refill it with a new lithium-polymer battery in that way you do not have to hassle with cheap fake Chinese batteries.

I got recommended your video from KZbin. A big, BIG fan of the PSP (I currently own a 1000 and a 3000). I primarily play on the 1000 because I like how chonky it is and I put in an IPS screen. I must agree with you, it is an upgrade, but it's not so massive that it's incredible. Also, I looked at my 3000 and, wouldn't you know it? I found the beginnings of a spicy pillow. So, thanks for showing up in my feed! Lol My replacement 3000 battery should be arriving soon. Lol I too am sad that the Mega Man Legends/Rock Man Dash dual pack never released in the west. In Fedora 40 with KDE I only have minor problems. Like KeepassXC's auto type does not work and in Telegram as soon as I open a menu I can restart the program because it kinda of freezes the mouse input...

I get that you don't like being forced to use software that is not fully stable yet and that is unacceptable but I think that the problem in this case is not wayland itself, I've been using wayland with an Nvidia card for almost a whole year now and other than the initial hassle of setting it up it worked just fine. I know that many users have reported a lot of problems with wayland but you can't expect Wayland to be just as mature as X yet.
