And as I mentioned in the video, they do have a strength in in-state recruiting and doing especially well on the line and at RB. I also agree that they have had impressive wins against the teams that you have mentioned. The point I was making is that they seem to come up just short on so many occasions and I think a top QB would get them over the hump. I would love to read that article or watch that feature ESPN just did. I cannot seem to find it. And to your point, yeah, they may have just missed on the development of QBs. I'm all for people doing what they love, but it didn't particularly sound like you actually researched or knew much about the Badgers other than standard talking points. Have they consistently had a Patrick Mahomes type in the system? Obviously not, nobody does. You know how hard it is even for the top programs to get stud QB's that are also stud QB's in the league? Literally nobody does that. It's always a mish mash of teams. Look at Alabama as the perfect example of this. The apparent standard you have for the Badgers seems higher than any other college football team on the planet. Many of us Badger fans have been waiting for the day we had another Qb similar in NFL talent to Wilson. We aren't unique to that, but it certainly wasn't for lack of trying. Bart Houston and Curt Phillips are perfect example of QB recruits that were highly sought after and then got derailed because of injuries. The list of elite high school QB's we went after and couldn't get is to long to even bring up. Also Mertz tested positive for COVID. Chase Wolf will liking be starting next week. Urban Meyer tried to get him from us as well. He's our 3rd string but don't be surprised if he looks damn good either. Our 3 deep this year at QB is unusual for any team let alone ours.

It'll be interesting to see how much this changes over the next few years considering the last three recruiting classes have been their best 3 recruiting classes in their history.

Yeah, I generally do not post much college football stuff because I by no means am an expert. Just wanted to give an opinion. Baseball is really 95% of what gets posted. Thank you for watching! You are correct that they have been a top 5 BIG TEN team for the past 20 years. The point is that there seems to be a difference between teams like Ohio State, Clemson, Georgia, and Alabama and Wisconsin. Wisconsin has been competitive for the past 20 years and if you are content losing to Ohio St. year after year and losing every Rose Bowl appearance then so be it. I guess the question I would ask is how many wins against Ohio St. do the Badgers have over the past 15 years? How many National Championships? How many Rose Bowls? They are overrated in that I talk with people who think the Badgers are one of those teams...and I think they could be if they have an elite QB. Cheers! Statsswipe
