I think I'd change what I say about the wilderness being unsown and unreconstructed. That arrogant statement denies the careful stewardship of the country by its indigenous custodians for thousands of years. In the countr of which i am speaking in this video there are no longer and of these custodians living, but they are still connected to the land. visit the land, and keep its cutoms and ceremonies alive by visiting and telling its stories. They are the true Voice of this country. IF you want to see another take on teh philosophy that Peter and I hold and that upheld our custodianship at Koora Retreat you ay like to view another video at this link. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gmSWkIGNYq2Db80

How did Daniel go with the spiders

Surprisingly I am doing much better with creepy crawley creatures. I found an awesome centipede that looked like my parachord bracelet and met some interesting slugs. We did a session of 'sit spot' at which I had spider spin a web right above my head. That was actually quite interesting and fun to watch!!!

In Sensory Integration and the Child, A. Jean Ayres, PhD, says, “Integration of vestibular and proprioceptive inputs gives the child control over his eye movements. Without the guidance of these sensations, it is difficult for the child to focus on an object or follow it as it moves. Later on it may be difficult to move the eyes along a line of print. Reading may be so exhausting that it simply isn’t worth the effort.” Just another reason why whittling is such a crucial element to all of our programs...!
