Thank you for this ❤ put please can you help I don’t know how to use it I mean ( tension/ needle position/ width/ length) which number i put it for all them when I want to use it overcast foot 🙏 just help me @MadaSew
@MadamSew
@MadamSew 6 күн бұрын
This foot doesn't require a different thread tension or needle position. A standard position and tension should do. The only important thing is the stitch type and stitch width. Choose an overcast stitch or a zigzag stitch and test with the hand crank of your machine if the needle doesn't hit the foot, if it does, you need to adjust and make the stitch width wider or more narrow depending on where it hits. In my blog you get more detailed instructions: madamsew.com/blogs/sewing-blog/finishing-your-edges Hope this helps!

Hello, Thank you for the video, it's very helpful. I'm only stuck on a detail, in what direction are the two folds of the new hem folded towards please? Since the exemple in the video is black pants, the fabric is the same inside and outside so I'm a bit lost. The caption says the "towards the wrong side" at 1:19 but "wrong side" is confusing me more, sorry. The rest is super clear so I'm a little frustrated with myself for being stuck because of 1 small detail :(

They are folded towards the inside of the pants, that is what I call the wrong side of the fabric, the side that isn't showing when you wear the pants

Always remember that it’s okay to make mistakes, because even the most skilled sewists & quilter still make mistakes. It’s a marathon not a sprint and learning one skill well builds on another. It’s better to finish than to give up/quit due to imperfection. And knowing this community as well as I do there is always someone out there willing to help you learn and/or figure it something out.
