The last two years screamed a junior "Miami Vice." It was the 1980s, and some soaps were trying to cash in on MV's popularity by updating the intros with techno music and geometric openings.

I liked the original black and white version with the ominous piano music and the sky going from day to night. Hence the title. Simple but effective. The others seem so bland and contrived. Seen those in many other shows.

1:14 These are the ones from my childhood, and I used to hate Emmerdale Farm because I thought it was really boring lol These titles stand out, because they obviously spent a bit of money on them. They use 35mm film, and there's some interesting filters and editing techniques used as well. They're timeless and probably why they ran for 14 years.

Loving's intros were just so blah and boring. The Figure It Out one was actually the best, and quite good. The City opening was ok, but it felt more like something you would see on The WB instead. The intro at 02:31 is fake and fan made! I mean, Heather Locklear being in it should be a clue to how fake it is.

Why was it called emmerdale farm then changed to emmerdale in 1989 why
@steveh31Ай бұрын
Because originally Emmerdale was called Beckindale and when the producers decided to spice it up they decided after the 1993 plane crash to rename the village Emmerdale in tribute and get rid of the farm part of the show which is why the Sugden family were written out or phased out. They dropped farm in 1989 to make it more about the village rather than the farm.

She totally represented the middle class America. One job, decent housing, decent car, groceries in those days were attainable for almost everyone. How did we get from that to the America of today. Overworked middle class, barely making to the end of the month. Those were the golden years, and I doubt they're coming back. Lucky are the ones who lived through that... And yes, the best sitcom song opening or at least the top three. We miss you MTM, and those days.

The original theme will always be the best. The oboe is just simply beautiful and makes me emotional. This is when Emmerdale was a lot more wholesome and worth watching, unlike the current drivel and endless bed hopping etc

The Emmerdale theme has been changed at least 4 or more times since its inception, whilst the Coronation Street has only been changed twice. Honestly, they should've kept the 1972 theme until at least 2002, when the show was 30 years old.
