There are a lot of Characters and Altar that allow you to use armor. The altar of mage is a good example. Since Overload gives you so much damage, you can get 1 armor for your carry.

It's a handicap. It doesn't do anything. If you're in Phase 15, you don't have a choice. If you're in lower phase, yes it's a flex.
