like 3-4 games we lost this year shouldve been wins. we havent gotten blown out all szn. cant wait till next szn, when we have fresh bodies on the OL, DL, coaching office etc. also hope they sign Allen at least for 1-2 years. keep the same guys around Caleb. also, the DL needs to be worked on in the off szn. most teams run vs the Bears as opposed to pass, because they know the front 7 is weaker than the back 4. Brisker being lost for over a month hurt a lot of things vs the run and pass. still...outside of a few splash plays to open receivers, the back four has been solid...even without Brisker

As much as I like Flus, He isn't the answer as HC. Poles has added a lot of talent and had made more than he's missed in terms of good players. Going back to the start of all this, The analysis was it would take 3 years BEFORE they would start being a SB contender. They are about 2 or 3 players ( and a better HC) away from being there.

This defense has not been great - numbers are skewed with offense not being competitive most of the year so other teams offenses didn’t have to try harder to put up points. When they need to, they walk all over this defense.

the defense hasnt been great more so on the front 7. most teams ran the ball vs the Bears as opposed to pass because the back 4 is much better than the front 7. outside of a few splash plays via the pass, the back four has been soslid. Brisker being out over a month didnt help. Saying teams "arent trying hard to score" shows that u dont watch the games. or, u watch the games yet dont understand football/what youre seeing

The Bears are not mathematically out of the playoffs but need to beat out Arizona, San Francisco, LA Rams, Tampa Bay, New Orleans, Washington and Dallas for the last wild card spot. All of these teams have the same record or better than the Bears. Matt Eberflus will not give up until the Bears are mathematically out of the playoffs. They need to win at least 5 of their last 6 games to make the playoffs. If the Commanders continue to lose games, then the last playoff spot is completely wide open.

@@foolmenow00 - I believe Matt Eberflus is discouraged but hasn't given up. Thomas Brown as OC has changed everything. The Bears need to somehow get the defense and special teams to a level where they are not costing the improved offense games. The Bears can definitely beat the Lions. Their defense has to play with passion and Matt Eberflus needs to let them loose. I wouldn't mind if Matt Eberflus gave Eric Washington an opportunity to call defensive plays to see how the defense responds.
