I’m sure it was quite the thrill for Alex. He was quite the anglophile, musically speaking.

Great Videos I lived on The Strip as a Hippy 1967 we hung out at Crash Pads, panhandled for $ I met Temothy Learey there He was handing out LSD- Acid- I was Astonished how Beautiful LSD Made everything, Serious! In 67 Sunset Strip was a Crappy Trashy neighbourhood. Remember Hanging out the Whiskey A Goow-Goow- ?? Go Go I mean I seen Cream Live, after a few minutes the Bouncer said Hit the streets, Kid --17 Years Old was Go To Jail and Yes, When I was Tripping on Leary-s LSD my ientire thinking changed- I was from Arkansas, I rralized There is better thrills than Catfish and Highschool- ACID Was My University, even wrode the Magic Buss, ---74 Years Old, now I Feel GOD Ordained my Life. The Real God of Old Testament Gave the Jews MANA which was LSD. Leary wrote a book about LSD & The Exodus ---Hollywood was my Introduction to The Real God of the Real Jews. ( It is to adore.) Dave himself wrote several songs about his unfortunate life experience, one of them was Mindless Child Of Motherhood which basically tells the entire story. What was shameful, was his brother Ray making a mockery out of Dave's experience with the Schoolboys In Disgrace album. That should have never happened. 😢 Anyway, Pete Quaife was a lovely person to know, from what I've heard, and Ray's abuse of him caused him to finally leave the Kinks after the Village Green album, around 1969. Karma plays the long game, Ray. 🇬🇧🧐🕉️

Word salad, Ray. I'm glad the people in the room understood what he was saying because I sure couldn't. Pete deserved better than that. 😢

I realize in this song there are a lot of bits you could put in or leave out about a variety of Hollywood stars, but who the Hell would leave out the line about "dearest Marylin"? Yet that seems to be most of the most popular recordings of the song on KZbin. So than you for making one with the good lyrics.

Now all the lies have gone on too long, And a million apologies can't right the wrong. Soldiers die but the lies go on, But soon we will awaken. In our expectations for the future, We were not to know. We had expectations, now we've reached As far as we can go. And all your manners are too, too polite, Just to prove that your conscious is white and bright. You had your day so get ready for the night, For another dawn is breaking.

Ray, please write a song about the obliteration of the white Englush from London once Blair got in from 1997 on. Nothing short of the most horrific events are going to save London from its destruction for the sake of globalisation. If you write that song it might make more people think, reversing London's demographic destruction.

Everybody's a dreamer and everybody's a starAnd everybody's in movies, it doesn't matter who you areThere are starts in every cityIn every house and on every streetAnd if you walk down Hollywood BoulevardTheir names are written in concreteDon't step on Greta Garbo as you walk down the BoulevardShe looks so weak and fragile that's why she tried to be so hardBut they turned her into a princessAnd they sat her on a throneBut she turned her back on stardomBecause she wanted to be aloneYou can see all the stars as you walk down Hollywood BoulevardSome that you recognize, some that you've hardly even heard ofPeople who worked and suffered and struggled for fameSome who succeeded and some who suffered in vainRudolph Valentino looks very much aliveAnd he looks up ladies dresses as they sadly pass him byAvoid stepping on Bela Lugosi'Cause he's liable to turn and biteBut stand close by Bette DavisBecause hers was such a lonely lifeIf you covered him with garbageGeorge Sanders would still have styleAnd if you stamped on Mickey RooneyHe would still turn round and smileBut please don't tread on dearest MarilynCause she's not very toughShe should have been made of iron or steelBut she was only made of flesh and bloodYou can see all the stars as you walk down Hollywood BoulevardSome that you recognize, some that you've hardly even heard ofPeople who worked and suffered and struggled for fameSome who succeeded and some who suffered in vainEverybody's a dreamer and everybody's a starAnd everybody's in show biz, it doesn't matter who you areAnd those who are successfulBe always on your guardSuccess walks hand in hand with failureAlong Hollywood BoulevardI wish my life was non-stop Hollywood movie showA fantasy world of celluloid villains and heroesBecause celluloid heroes never feel any painAnd celluloid heroes never really dieYou can see all the stars as you walk along...You can see all the stars as you walk down Hollywood BoulevardSome that you recognize, some that you've hardly even heard ofPeople who worked and suffered and struggled for fameSome who succeeded and some who suffered in vainLa la la la....Oh, celluloid heroes never feel any painOh, celluloid heroes never really dieI wish my life was non-stop Hollywood movie showA fantasy world of celluloid villains and heroesBecause celluloid heroes never feel any painAnd celluloid heroes never really die Source: LyricFind Songwriters: Ray DaviesCelluloid Heroes lyrics © Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC
