We have one goat so far, and he's an Alpine - Toggenburg mix. His name is "Buddy" We bought him at only two weeks old, and he's been an absolute joy. The seller told us Alpine's are "sweet and lovable", and he has been. But now he's 1.5 years old and in rut, so not too lovable😅 We're looking a mate for him, and we're hoping that eventually will calm him back down to his former self.

❤ Been using your dishwashing soap since launch 4 years ago. It really cuts the grease, which is super important for my family who hand washes all their dishes, pots, and pans. Just replenished my stock. Super fast shipping all the way to Hawaii! Mahalo!

No vets - just almost 20 years of experience and almost 2,000 baby goats delivered!

I am extremely curious if the babies nurse at all from the moms? Do the moms spend time with their babies? Bear with me on these questions please. My family has a much smaller goat farm nowhere near your family operation, but I have never seen the babies and mamas separated like this from birth. The mamas get upset for one thing, and the babies nurse from their mama’s immediately. Again, small operation with no need to produce milk products, but I can’t help but wonder about this. Thank you ❤️
@goatmilkstuff5 ай бұрын
We bottle raise from birth. We are unable to keep all the babies and have found that separating before they bond is kinder than weaning later on, and allows the babies to bond with their new owners from the beginning rather than bonding with Mom and being ripped away when they go to a new home. Goats give birth with exponential growth and we would have thousands of goats by now if we kept all of them. Because all of our does were bottle raised themselves, none of them are upset when we take the babies, and are happy to get to hang out with their friends in the herd again. We wouldn't do it if we felt it negatively impacted the goats - they are our babies and we love them with all of our hearts! Bottle raising them is a lot of work and we wouldn't do it if it wasn't for a good reason haha. I hope that helps! :)

Just starting to watch your vids. Do the babies get to nurse from the mamas or are they taken away and just bottle fed?

I was looking at soaps on Amazon and decided to research all the chemicals in the ingredients. What I read was terrifying.. and my family and I were using these bar soaps. I happened to come across goat milk soap and your website today. The ingredients are short and natural... just what I'm looking for. There are so many toxins in our food and the products we use. They are used on babies and growing children. It's really sad. I'm glad there are people who still care.

After saving the lives of dozens, if not hundreds, of baby goats and mamas, we disagree. A check before a problem becomes a problem saves lives. We love our animals - it's why we do check. But it's okay to agree to disagree. goatmilkstuff.com/assist

21 does in one day really cuts into the numbers still due. Will the numbers left to kid - gives you more time to play with the babies - are they on the lambar yet? Training them on it does take time. Thanks, Emery for the pictures.
