This system has sadly been a costly mistake for us. We hired a professional and experienced installer, ordered and waited for the product to arrive, picked it up (2 hours round trip), and after multiple attempts have found the system is bowed. After reading comments from other buyers, this is not an uncommon issue. We now have money out for professional labor, pickup/delivery, and now more trips if they allow us to return. The company itself has failed to respond to our call and their requested, detailed email with pictures. So frustrating. Don't waste your money

Im about to install a set of these doors. I hopecthe process goes as smoothly as shown in the video. I think ill add two safety pieces though. Steel toed shoes and grippy work gloves. Dont need any broken toes or cut hands. Update. This did not go well. There is no video for the maax door I installed. The paper instructions that came with the door are accurate but difficult to follow. NEVER AGAIN WILL I CONSENT TO INSTALLING A MAAX UNIT OF ANYTHING!

Use a laser level to align track's, instead of traditional one, it can make save you a lot of time.

Tried to install one of these Friday, not a Good Friday job. Back panel has huge bow instructions suck. Will attempt again next week.

I was expecting the side walls to be drawn in to the back wall, but it’s not happening. I’ve placed shims behind the back wall and tried (and tried…) but the gap is not tightening up. I’m very confident that the walls are plumb and square. I’m not confident that the holes in the panels were drilled correct. Any suggestions? Thanks

I havent even installed it yet and already want to take it back just reading this. I stood on the pan and it creeks like grandpa's knees. Should be a 300 dollar unit not 800 I think Im gonna take it back to Homedepor. What an abortion of a video and the instructions aren't even for this unit also you dont even give a place to install the shower valve. My experience so far is nowhere near enjoyment...

The pin system does not work. Half are on an angel, and don't line up with Some hole are off by a 1/4 inch. One of the panels had a crack in it and couldn't get warranty work done . So I had to pay to have fixed myself.

You are 100% better off just going to Home Depot looking at the display model and figuring it out from there. If you follow the instructions, you will have six holes drilled in the wrong place right off the fucking bat

Absolutely the worst instructions I’ve ever seen in this video when they are attaching the fixed panel. Do they show the girl with a close-up of her hands marking the goddamn base at one and a half inches instead of 3/4 inch what a stupid fucking video

What a piece of shit. I bought this kit a year ago, so I probably can't take it back. Now I see that the installer has to spend more than double the time doing prep work on this design than most others. Ive installed other prefabricated kits before and they never had this much prep work. Unbelievable! Last Maax kit Ill ever buy. Fucking garbage.

Excellent product and amassing customer service! My 98-year-old father with severe Alzheimer’s walked in during installation and picked up a wheel assembly and walked off with it. He then laid it down somewhere. After looking for several days I contacted the manufacturer and expected to pay out the nose for another wheel assembly. They sent me a new wheel without any fuss or charge. Again, they did not charge me a cent for the new wheel assembly or for shipping. You don’t find many companies now days with that kind of integrity. I have now had several more of their products installed in my other homes.

What a fantastic world creator of this video lives in! 1.There is nothing behind the drywall to screw wood frame to, I took off drywall panels to reframe existing carcass ( and install shower faucet valve) so some wood will be there, and put drywall back with taping, mudding and else. 2. Shower pan drain strainer and nut is well below pan's bottom and floor level, so it's not possible to set it flat on the floor to attach walls, at least a few 2x4 s need to be put under to keep it level, after bolting all together you can't just slide all flimsy cabin to the corner with a light toe kick - need to lift it and land around the stand up 2" pipe messing with that firewood on the wall. 3. Shower pan bottom filler is a foam that when stepping on the pan makes squeaking sounds. Bad design, requires tons of extra preparation job to do.

The instruction sheet reads, "Enjoy the experience." Name me one person on the planet who enjoyed having bamboo shoots shoved under the fingernails and "Enjoyed the experience," I'll hire that person to install this piece of crap.

Installing this for a friend. It's in the basement on a concrete floor. The house is 25 years old and was roughed in with 1.5 " ABS. Setting this flimsy three piece unit on top of a glue joint drain is going to be a shit storm. I have the rough in perfectly aligned but it's going to take three men, a boy, and a barking dog to get this piece of crap to work 😡. NOT looking forward to this.

Just finished install. My main comment is it makes no sense to attach the backing wood pieces with screws. First, its not likely there will be studs at every screw point shown. I opted to use "Loctite All-Purpose Power Grab" for the "wood-to-drywall" adhesive, and then on the side of the wood facing the shower surround I used "Loctite Power Grab Tub Surround." The other reason this is a better method than screws is that the Loctite wood grabs instantly (won't fall off wall) but allows up to 30 minutes working time, which means if the wood is positioned slightly incorrectly, it can easily be slid a bit either way to conform perfectly to the shower panels. The only place i recommend using actual wood screws is on the vertical pieces (the 1x3) which the jambs are screwed into. Those have to be anchored as firmly as possible because there is load and tension on those on each side, so i recommend making sure you have wood behind the drywall on each side. I also agree with the other comment that the music to this video is repetitive and irritating and grating for some reason I'm not sure why. My base was 1/4" out of level and I was still able to get an excellent installation. I would say don't be more than 1/4" out of level that's about the "maxx" variance it can handle. I'm impressed with the product so far and happy with my purchase.

This is the worse system . Comes with no directions.. you have to search them online.. mine is not even on their site. They are closed on weekends so no support there. Also, they sell them all over canada but the help desk has eastern hours... really really sucks, having ro shut off the water and wait for their hours of operation. Too cheap to put the directions in the box. Also... my two side panels .. are all rippled feom the factory.. i wish i never purchased this product.

You said no wet setting I assume that's on all of your shower units. You keep saying that and it shows a bathtub unit in the video when you say that. Please be more clearer with your information. I just bought a 3460 four piece shower unit. I am not going to put any cement under the pan according to this video it says no wet setting on your units .
