Hi Gina! Good to see you again. I hope everything will turn out ok for your husband and you. I’ll do my best to help with distraction 😊 I think Mrs Everything sounds really interesting! Glad you enjoyed it. Loved hearing about how your grandmothers family matched the one in the book, and Ralph writing back! That’s so fun 😊 Very interesting to hear your thoughts on the Reader as well. I had no idea it had anything to do with wwii. I might skip that one, or just watch the movie if I’m ever curious! You could always do a pile of possibilities for September, or if you do a tbr, there’s no obligation to finish everything, or even stick to those books. If it brings you joy, I say talk about the books you look forward to and are the most excited for and pick them up when and if you feel like it! The “important” ones can wait if that feels too much right now. Either way I’m here for it and hoping for good things! 💜

Thanks Ellen... I appreciate any and all distraction. Yes, I'm interested in seeing how the movie of The Reader matches with the book... IDK.. it may be too slow for me at the moment. I think I"m just going to choose some books I'm looking forward to that I have here or that I get from the library and see how it all goes. I may have a lot of reading time at Dr appointments.

Loved hearing your answers! And I get what you mean about the LFLs! I think it’s great that you include that. It is something people want to see, so use that to your advantage, why not? It’s not harming anyone. I do things for a vlog too that I wouldn’t do otherwise. But for me, that’s a function I want my vlogs to have for me. I want that motivation for myself to go do the thing that I want to do, but I wouldn’t do it just for me. But if I can film it, it makes me go! But I still get the experience of doing it! 😂 I just mean I get it and I do it too and I think that’s fine! 😅 And even with reading! I wouldn’t read this much this consistently if I didn’t have a channel, but I like that the channel is making me more motivated to read, because I enjoy it but don’t prioritize it otherwise. Anyways! Thank you for your kind words and I love seeing you getting more confident in front of the camera. It’s really cool 😊 Happy reading! By the pool! Also I wouldn’t mind seeing some kittens 😊

Yes I do agree about the vlogs and you using them to motivate yourself to do things you wouldn't normally do. Like taping in public ... reading books/genres I may not normally read.. And yes the reading consistently I wouldn't have done without the channel. I keep a reading log now and it just is interesting to see what I have read in the past year. I LOVE Judy Blume. My parents were not really readers, so I was labeled the "book worm". I realize the controversy surrounding banning some books, as some of them are a little more detailed than what needs to be. I never thought of Judy Blume as being one of those Authors. Also, I can see your POV, especially remembering how I was as a tween. Another great tag!!

Yes, my mother wanted a particular book moved from the children's section to the adult section based on what was in it. The town librarian didn't move it because it was still there the next time I went. She did become more vigilant on what I was reading.
