That was a great video! I have one small request--can you do the whole thing again but with FPV view? It's hard to watch 10 minutes of flying backwards--and, the view gets blocked by the Delta-wing. 😉

I can’t believe I found this!!! Me and my family actually met you before you did this launch, we’re from Minnesota USA, we were on a trip to Switzerland. We all met you as you were getting ready to launch, you told me about your KZbin channel but I could never find it. The fact that I stumbled across this videos five years later is super cool. So cool. How high is the takeoff? What is the rope trailing for? Now at 76 it’s nice to watch these videos. Brings back that feeling. I’m from CT so no real cool places like that to fly. Best place we have is a 500’ high ridge. We used to go north to the different ski lodges.

I’m new to the sport of Hang Gliding. So do Hang Gliders have to plan for a safe location to land? Or do they simply climb in altitude and land back in the general area they took off from? Again, I’m new to the sport so go easy on me 😅

That's the VG (Variable Geometry) string. It allows for varying the tension of the wing, which in turn controls the balance between max control and max gliding performance.

Was that site called pine flats in the early days? If so I was the first to fly there. Flew with Bob and also pioneered Cerro Gordon in the owens valley. Fly Ripper in early days. Got a U2 in 2012 in Florida and areo towed.for 1 season. Not the same as back in the day. Best flights there was CC to Hesperia dump on my Cumulus 10. Great times and lost friends will never forget. Was flying with Jerry Katz day he broke 100 miles. Went 35 that day. WW makes great gliders. Be safe. Hang 4#212

4:28 bro... that is intense as fuck.. wow man.. this video is epic, great music choice, excellent footage. What was the bridal on your right side that was trailing? Looked like a pain to wrestle in. Anyways, this is the best thing I've seen recently. Keep being amazing 😊 after watching it fully.. dude. You are a loop snag away from carnage on all the low passes with that bridal tether flapping behind. I know the odds are low.. im sure you know this too.. keep flying a long time. At 6:40 it shows that the duotone is not well engineered because the wing was buckling in the center which it should not have. I dont know if every wing abmvailable would do the same but i suspect there are wings out there which would stay rigid under the same test. I would never buy a duotone after watching this.
