The coding itself becomes more predictable, but you can change the specific domain to keep things fresh. You also end up taking on larger scopes and involving more engineers as you move up… There are also times when you face a novel problem and that can make the work challenging and engaging. But it’s like most other jobs - you get better at it as you do more of it. So the excitement from when you started learning fades over time :)

What’s the goal? I would say it’s a no brainer if you enjoy working on UIs! (Or mobile development works too) What are you trying to decide between? If the goal is to learn to code just generally, yeah I think FE is a decent place to start. But you don’t have to start there!

Hey a request for you, if you can build whole complex project from scratch with best practices from 0 scratch to advance complete project it will really help beginner and intermediate programmers understand how project is made in real time. In KZbin there are not frontend projects which are complex and real time projects all are just clone or basic todo projects It will not take a lot of your time because you can build the project fast as you are experienced. 🙏🏻❤

I would love to do this. Would you want to just see me actually coding stuff and thinking through implementation in real time? I’m afraid that most of it will be like thinking and just getting stuff wrong and fixing it 🤣 Actual development is messy and I would be all over the place if I were to do it in real time… it would be pretty hard to watch. But maybe there is like a happy middle ground. It really depends on the scope of the project. I feel like the smaller the scope, the easier it is to implement without getting stuck on stuff every step of the way (which is probably why other creators stick to simpler projects.) Real, valuable projects typically have these messy convoluted requirements, doesn’t make for an engaging tutorial / walk through I think. But maybe you’re right, that’s precisely why it would be valuable because it’s actually real and not contrived. I just started building a game as a passion side project, so maybe I’ll figure out how to turn that into content.

@@kan_adachi Bring up an idea, talk about the whole tech stack you plan to use and why, a brief plan of what needs to be coded on each and how they tie together, and then some videos covering coding integral parts in each of the techs in the stack.

My main cause of distractions are meetings. We have so many meetings. That's crazy. Sometimes 4h per day fragmented during the whole day. How am I supposed to code? I love the flow state. I get it to the flow state, if I work alone. But nowadays, we have all this agile bullshit, with all the meetings and pair programming, coworkers loving to talk for hours...

I can definitely relate to this! Have you thought about mentioning this to your manager? I think this falls in their wheelhouse to make sure you can stay productive. It also helps if you are vocal about it too. If you frame it in terms of “I can get more done if…” rather than “meetings suck bc…” it might help 😊
