I got Twister 1996 to work great but I can not see the DMD on screen. Any ideas?

love it! it's a fantastic portable machine, and looks great. I'd like to copy that project one day with recycle laptop screens. I have a couple of 16" and a 10", and some old 7" tablets kicking around, so if I can find some tiny HDMI controllers, I think I can scale up this build without breaking the bank. Your cabinet building in these videos is enormously helpful.

Is there anyway to use DMDext with vpx standalone? I have been using standalone a while and it's freaking awesome. Only thing is there's next to zero documentation, dmdext might already work but there's no way of knowing 😅

Looks awesome! I have had the parts to build one of these for over a year now. I hope after mine gets done, it is at least half as good as yours. I am planning to do a micro back matrix too. I've never seen anyone do that before on a 1/4 scale build.

Computer programmer here: spent 10 hours and can’t download a single table. Completely worthless. I’ll pay someone $100 if you email me a zip file I can directly use. This is complete bull crap.

10:46 is there a way to extract flipper-solenoid-enable signal from DOF or anyhow? When I take the flipper-solenoid singnals from DOF it has a unwanted amount of lag. So I simply wire them to the flipper-buttons to make them instaneous and fast. But this way the flipper-solenoids ingnite even when the table is in tilt or VP software is not running. I tried to get used to the lag but the amount and the variation of the lag time bothers me :). Or maybe this only happens with my sainsmart based output controller. with a flipper-solenoid-enable signal I would be able to gate the signals from the buttons to achive the fastest response+functionality to drive the flipper solenoids.

Thank you so much for your time and effort to put together this video. I've always wanted to explore something smaller than my widebody flat pack build, and this actually gets me one step closer to take the leap and do it! Your contributions to this community are enormous, thank you thank you thank you !

Great video. Thanks for sharing! I wonder if I could do something like this with a 3D printer. I just got one last week and have not yet learned how to use 3D design software so I'm enjoying everyone else's amazing designs at the moment. I imagine if I get familiar with the software, I could replicate this. Then I could share your amazing design with the 3D print community also, with your permission of course.
@MajorFrenchy17 күн бұрын
If the printer is big enough, you could possibly print all parts. You don't need my permission to do it, I always share my stuff so people can use it. Let me know your progress if you decide to do it, I will re-share it

I used the same Firebat T8 for my bartop sized Batocera/VPX pinball cab. For the power switch I soldered leads to the T8 motherboard power switch contacts and routed them out of the T8 case through a small hole drilled just below the power button. Also ran a wire to the +5V fan header on the mobo to trigger a relay for the cabinet's exhaust fan. I used a 3-pin audio cable to pick up the power/ground/fan voltage signals to make routing through the case easier.

It’s buggy and on iPad the usability is bad but overall it’s so good. The tables that work feel great. I even play The Real Ghostbusters and Slimer tables a lot despite the DMD being far off the table. It leaves Zen Pinball so far behind.
