Couple of tips: get yourself a Coghlan's orange plastic match safe. They run $2 here. Measure the inside diam. Reprint your kit item to loose fit that diam on both ends. If the match safe has any extra length, think about another bobbin on your item. The tube will keep everything clean and neat. Once you're good on the size and print quality, make them to sell or trade!

On my Victorinox Rescue tool the blade screwdriver/bottle opener also locks as well s the main blade. The main blades are serrated except for about 1 inch at the base which has a chisel sharpened type section on it. I could not see on the video if the can opener shown has the notch down at the base for wire stripping. Missing on the one in the video. Missing is the saw (single row of teeth) and at the butt end there is a blunted pointy thing for breaking glass, and you mentioned the lack of toothpick and tweezers. Also, the lack of luminescent handles, The seat belt cutter looks different.

I live in Canada and I normally get American made knives which are way overpriced if we're talking about Esee & Tops.Since owning & using my MoD knife, it has become my favorite knife, I'm not an Esee bandwagon jumper, but I definitely prefer my MoD over the Esee 6. The MoD just does it all and if I ever lose it or gets stolen, they are so affordable I could just buy another one, which I actually am, the wood handle version, but this time but in high polish.

Baerskin has reduced the price of all its products because buyers understand that a great rain jacket *needs* pit zips, which none of its jackets have. They are scrambling to offload everything before crashing. 100% Chinese manufactured.

Hi! I've been considering the TBS Boar for a knife upgrade for a while now since it has all the characteristics I'm looking for. However, one thing troubles me: the blade is quite thick (4 mm), and the Scandi bevel is relatively short, which results in a rather high bevel angle. In theory, this is less than ideal for tasks like feathersticking, carving tent pegs, etc. What are your thoughts on this?
@prepperinthewoods
@prepperinthewoods 16 күн бұрын
@@gpietra the boar is a heavy knife so if weight is an issue I would pick a different one. The lynx or Timberwolf is a good one
@gpietra
@gpietra 15 күн бұрын
@@prepperinthewoodsI was never concerned about the weight; I'm more concerned that the bevel angle is too high for efficient slicing and carving. How would you compare the performance of this knife for these tasks, for example, to the Morakniv Garberg, which I see you own (or owned) and I also do?
@prepperinthewoods
@prepperinthewoods 15 күн бұрын

I just bought this, rec'd it Aug 2024. Wondering if you got a better manual. I paid about $32 USD. No memory card, but no matta. I'd like to set date and time. It's not intuitive. SInce there's no brand, and no manufacturer listed, finding a pdf manual would be near impossible. Yeah, I recently went down the temu rabbit hole also...I got me some fun piano shirts.

I guess it's meant to be to transport one single brick of this solid alcohol fuel in it, and, in my opinion very important, meant to bend the upper claps 90 degrees downwarts after putting the brick in it. That halfs its volume and protects the fuel brick. Just bend those back for using.
