I'm a noob to pedals, but am addicted. Here's my current order; Guitar - compressor - tube screamer - fuzz - amp In the fx loop I currently have a stand alone Sonicake Levitate, but intend to add a chorus and a flanger in the future.

Is it just me thinking that it's kind of weird that professional musicians don't know neither the name of this song nor the name of the band... I mean, you don't need to like the genere or their music to know this is a nirvana song, right? It was quite a big hit in popular music at the time, back in 1994 and... I don't know the fact that professional musicians don't know who's this song is from it's weird to me. Have they just listened to Jazz all their life? Haven't they ever listened to popular music throughout the 90s? Genuine questions, I am curious, honestly.

I've listened to their SOAD cover on repeat for days. It's SO beautiful. I never, ever would have heard of them had you not had them do that.

Going by that SOAD cover I was expecting much more ethereal country/folk like stuff. Not bad at all.

Wow they turned it into a Tim Burtonesque cinematic haunting goth piece. Imagine this version in a transformation part of a movie.

I think this is a pretty solid list from my more limited experience. I'm an intermediate player, but I never spent over $1K USD on a guitar. I currently have an Epiphone Les Paul custom Pro and just recently got a PRS SE and both are amazing guitars for around $600 USD. I would say I'm enjoying the PRS more just because it's noticeably lighter and I find the guitar to be more playable which is huge when it comes to practice. I also watched your list on the acoustic side and I own two Taylors. Looks like 2 out of 3 od my brands are A tier per your feedback 😂 🤓

She has a great voice and that lead guitar came out nicely but, and maybe this is a shoegaze thing, the production sounds so muddied.

Check out a band called Diiv as a reference for what modern shoegaze "should" sound like. Can't promise you'll like it but i think it's sick.

It would be nice to listen to the mellower version at 5:28. They still played a great jazz version to start off then raised the bar even higher.

Ben the keyboardist needs to stop playing and become a band manager or run his own studio. He’s obviously got natural musical talent. He could be like a Mutt Lange or Rick Ruben. Or at least write beats like Scott Storch.
