I had a huge crush on one of my friends, the only problem was that she was straight. I was perfectly fine sitting beside her and hoping that my hugs weren't too invasive and trying to act normal when every compliment she gave me made my heart skip. She had a boyfriend at the time and I hated his guts, he made me uncomfortable and I could almost swear that she felt the same. I pretended that I wasn't about to screw up my nose every time he playfully punched my friends or that I wasn't about to tell him to piss off if he said something rude. They broke up about a month later on kind of bad terms and I felt bad about how secretly happy I was. It was like the floodgates had been opened, after school I couldn't do anything but squeal into my pillow. I had a chance, I actually had a chance! Though, would someone as perfect and beautiful as her feel the same about me? She did. I didn't know I could be that oblivious, but she had felt the same for ages.
