Such a precious son of God. His teachings and messages have had a profound impact on my life and ministry over the years from my early twenties as a pastor until today I'm involved in global missions. Thank you Lord for this gift to the Body of Christ, a life of Love and Service well lived! Let the Revolution of Love continue.🙏

I first met you as a student at Moody and was given the opportunity to be your gopher. Unfortunately I wasn't able to raise the necessary funds to go with you but our brief encounter and your stories of radical devotion to God impacted the rest of my life. I read all of your books I could get my hands on; many of them free. Since that time the Lord has catapulted me into world missions, mobilizing churches, organizing and preaching at crusades, shaking cities with the gospel of Jesus Christ and reaping a harvest of thousands of precious souls. Your influence carries on in so many lives. I thank God for your life, you planted a seed that changed mine.

Amazing thanksgiving event .

All Glory to God for Brother George's life. He is not with us now! But his busy life challenges us to follow in his footsteps. I am sure he is busy now in the presence of God to praise and worship Him the creator of us. We praise His Master who brought many challenges to evangelize the world for the lost. We see him no more, but he can see us. God, thank you for calling him to your presence before us. Yes, like you, the work left behind we would be able to complete. All Glory to God for his wonderful life.

Just watched June 20, my heart has been moved and renewed to dedicate myself anew to His cause which started through OM and George in 1966 leading me to Belgium and India with OM, thanks to all for this great service!

THE GREAT MISSION MOBILISER The Weekly Update - April 17, 2023 As we were gathered last Saturday in Mulhouse for our annual WEC meeting, we learned that George Verwer had gone be with the Lord. As Yukki was sharing the need to mobilise for mission, one of the greatest mobilisers in the History of the Church had just passed away. Evangelist Verwer died at the age of 84, leaving behind one of the largest missionary organisations, now present in 100 countries. I had the opportunity to listen to George preach a few times. In 2019, he asked me if I would come and see him at his home in London. What I remember from that afternoon in his living room, with a cup of tea, was his undiminished passion for the unreached peoples of the world. He used to say, "If you won't join OM, then join WEC!” Timothée Paton

Our eldest son was George's 'gofer' for more than a year and it amazed me that, decades after he had left him, George often made inquiries about his whereabouts. George deeply cared about everyone

I had the privilege of meeting George a couple of times over the years and have a very dear friend in OM for many years. Such a wonderful service of memory and thanksgiving for his life of service.

What a great man. I had a privilege of spending few mins with him during his visit to our church’s Christmas program in 2018. I picked him up in Feltham railway station and drove to our church. I had an interesting conversation on building our church where he didn’t show much interest in building physical building but instead focused on building God’s kingdom. As the time passed by I understood the meaning of his words and cherish those conversations. I am sure he is with God and our prayers are with Deena and family.

We were blessed to be with GEORGE AND DRENA in ATHERTON IN 1963 then on to BROMLEY 1966 when had our OM wedding in Eastbourne then back to the book shop in Bromley> It seems that George AND OM prayers were answered here in EASTBOURNE as at a Indian wedding here in EASTBOURNE Friday "21 - 4 - 2023 we had 6 ex OM INDIAN pastors at the wedding.
