Those remind me of some Desert ants. It must be pretty warm out. Since they are running around with such vigor. How big would you say they are. For example, about the with of a pencil? Or is there another object you can reference for your best guess? Based on what i can see from their jaw mandables. They might be seed eaters. I know other ants will also seek nector and bugs to hunt or scavenge for food.

Hi my friend, I have been to a desert (about half a day and a whole night) but I haven’t seen a desert ant. Actually, at that time I haven’t noticed a single creature there. It was just a few thorny plants here and there. I would like to see the fauna and flora in different deserts around the world, especially desert ants. Yes, you are making a good point about the size of the ants in this video. Some of them were about the width of a pencil, but you know their legs are long. And yes, their jaw mandibles are strong. The only thing I saw (are shown in this video as well) was that these ants were carrying out a tiny grains of sand with their mandibles and leaving them out of their nest entrance. But, probably when the seeds are available, they will gather them with their nice jaw mandibles. Thanks friend! It was a fresh and informative comment 🙌. I liked it. Take care. ✨
