I like introducing the ring mechanic to every deck. In terms of the Skulk benefit, an Izzet variant of burn will provide the unblockable effect more reliably, e.g. Unsummon. But I am now curious about integrating this into my legal burn decks. I'm already using the same emblem in a Pauper deck that I'd like to test out with friends soon.

Hey Goblin Guide I have played burn awhile. How bad would it be to put Mana tithe in burn. It sounds crazy. But the idea would be to counter opponents turn 2 and turn 3 plays. It is a terrible draw. It seems like a bad idea but wonder what you think.

My favourite modern deck I ever played was Treasure Cruise Burn. Now that the One Ring is everywhere, it's probably good to jam 4 copies into Burn again to see how viable it is. Treasure Cruise meant you could never run out of gas. One Ring is the same deal.

It's not good in burn. The entire idea of the deck is to kill your opponents before their superior card quality beats you. Adding a spell that you can't even cast until you have 4 mana and doesn't even deal damage will just let a deck like elementals gain a bunch of life and stop you from being able to win anyways.

@@jadegrace1312 No, you are incorrect. Extremely incorrect. Burn improved SIGNIFICANTLY with Treasure Cruise. It improved SIGNIFICANTLY with Lurrus. It will improve SIGNIFICANTLY with the One Ring. Burn's biggest problem is running out of cards. One Ring is a Time Walk and Ancestral Recall for 4 mana. As a burn player, if you resolve the One Ring, you will win very shortly. No deck can beat 3 burn spells per turn.

@@JohnFromAccountingThe difference Is you could cast Treasure Cruise for 1 mana most of the time, The One Ring cost 4 mana and it's really not a good Burn card, since you also need to play more lands. Cut Burn spells for adding lands and The One Ring Is really really bad.

Well, this list seems vulnerable to removal spells. And with prismatic/binding/fury/solitude meta it can be hard to keep the ring guy around. You invest resourses in a creature and cope with sorcery speed 2 dmg and then this creature gets easily removed. Tried a lot of burn lists in my lgs and some minor events, still somewhere between classic and vortex lists..
