Guess what! We have a bearded dragon called Mochi as well!! What are the odds. And we have a second bearded dragon that looks the same as your Mochi called Red rock.

Everyone has their own enclosure and they are supervised when hanging together :)

All of animals have their own enclosures. We take care of them full time and let them hang in different places with supervision :)

They hang in separate enclosures normally. When they hang out outside of the enclosures together, they are always supervised :)

It always seems like they love the substrate, but you are right, of course. Some sort of replaceable liner is safer, and far more sanitary. Dragon's "taste" everything, so extra care is needed...kinda-like a puppy eating anything it sees. Lol, I do hope they heed your warning, though. Loose substrates are a serious health risk at any age for these lizards. Their natural environment (the Aussie desert) is hard pack soil, and rocks.

Yes, we have learned along our way. Sand is not a good substrate for beardies. The videos are older videos we took. We have changed substrate later on. Just still have a lot of older videos with sand substrate.
