I hope in ch 3.5 we stay inside of K corp. I'm interested in seeing the nest itself as opposed to (the remnants of) a town in the sticks

Well, prior to N corp appearing, that town was probably a upscaled residential area who took inspiration from older architecture aesthetic. Also, assuming there hasn't been any major changes, we should only be visiting each district only once lore wise

This episode reminds me of Mirror's edge a lot. White sterile surfaces, with clear bright colours serving utilitarian purposes, to mark segments of buildings or as guide lines. And the music just drives it further.
