Rice will only absorb the exterior of the phone. The rice doesn’t actually provide a solution to a cellular device that has water damage within its interior components. You would need a substance that would aid in the evaporation of the water at a much quicker rate. Such substance includes isopropyl alcohol 70% or less as it is non-conductive and will not damage the interior components while evaporating the water at a quicker rate.

I usually take a warm wet cloth, and wash my GPU and Motherboard.
