I wasn’t going to get one of these, I thought it would be helpful using the jupiter synth on the INTEGRA 7, and does sound great!

A22 is unmistakably in the intro for R.Type Delta. I love the sound of this synth (and of course the OG). Very FM-ish. Synths that aren't glorified fart machines ftw.

Is the jd 800 considered a fm synth?

Hi there ! Thank you for this video which has made my decision to buy the JD 08 much easier. I notice all switches - knobs and faders are in the same position for all preset sounds. Do you have to set them this way when choosing any of the presets ? Thanks again - Best Regards - Eddie ( a UK follower ).
@st1012
@st1012 Жыл бұрын
Hi Eddie! All knobs and sliders stay in the same / last position when you change the presets. They are not moving by themselves;-) So I whish you much fun with this device! By the way I bought the original JD 800 last month....for some kind of collective reasons.... Greets

@@st1012Hi there ! Sorry I don't see your name anywhere to address you more politely. Thanks for your quick reply. ( I get the faders etc not being motorised ! Lol ! ) 🤭 I've just received my JD 08 and all controls are set at their lowest position out of the box so I'm having a bit of a problem getting the nice rich Preset tones as in your video as they all seem to sound very similar ( out of the box ). 😥 Any advice would be most appreciated to save me hours of knob twiddling. I'm totally new to Synths and would really appreciate your advice. Thanks again for being so helpful - Best Regards - Eddie the Newbie !

I wonder what the new JX-08 patches would sound like on a real JX-8P.
@lundsweden
@lundsweden 8 ай бұрын
Probably on the whole, a bit better. But for the cleaner type of digital-esque type of sounds, the JX-08 seems a little clearer sounding- it depends what you're after

Nice playing, but the cheaper Roland SH-4D sounds way better, with 4 synth tracks, a rhythm track and a full sequencer. I don’t see the need for this Gaia 2.

I don't think the JX-08 is aiming for authenticity. I think it would've been better to call it the JX-20- sometime new. It's nice though the JX-08 has the option of a resonant filter, but I don't like the fact they took away the X-mod option. But upside, I think it sounds good, is bi-timberal, has built-in fx, reverb etc and a sequencer- I like it quite a lot!

Question: how do I select and program a different preset and sequence for part A and one for part B so I can play back two sequences and presets at same time like say choose a bass preset on Part A and sequence that pattern and then choose a melodic pad preset on Part B and program a sequence to playback on part B and have both parts A and B playback together? Roland manual sucks really bad!
