Another awesome video train buddies and they should’ve had that tag unit leading 171 and if it’s coming to Chattanooga it’s supposed to come on south to New Orleans Louisiana and if it does, I’ve got some engineer buddies and conductor friends that’s gonna let me know that runs between Meridian, Mississippi, and New Orleans so hopefully I’ll get to see it myself that would be awesome but that is one beautiful locomotive
@TrainBuddies859Ай бұрын
Thanks for watching and commenting! Appreciate the compliment! It would have been sweet to catch the TAG unit leading. I know it came back north yesterday, through our area, on NS142 to Elkhart. We did not try to catch it again because it was dark. Not sure where it was headed after Elkhart.

You guys got lucky every time I've been down there. The only thing running is 1 B&O Passenger trains and the circus train. The B&O layout was built in 1936 at the B&O shops in Maryland. There is a video about on the B&O Railroad Museum Channel. Here is a link kzbin.info/www/bejne/aoeneaqlqK59hbMsi=4TDt5bXp0aWcLqIF

That's a pretty cool video, thanks for sharing! During my childhood my family and I would go see the trains at CG&E in downtown Cincinnati every December. Some of the shots in the video are how I remember the layout looking during my childhood. I'm glad this layout is still on display in Cincinnati for future generations. Thanks again for sharing the video and thanks for watching and commenting!

The (CSX)bridge is the old C&O - Chesapeake and Ohio Bridge. And on the Union Terminal side of the Western Hills Viaduct, there was a Tresstle that went to the C&O Cheviot Summit Yards in Western Hills 4.2 miles west from the Terminal. Then the B&O yards there at Union Terminal where redesigned in the late 80s early 90s when C&O turned i to (CSX) Chessie Seaboard Management, Queensgate Yard that it is today. That other 171 you're talking about probably came out of Conway some other day and tied down somewhere and then got moving
@TrainBuddies859Ай бұрын
Yeah, we think you're right. In hindsight the first 171 that came through was calling itself "Seventeen One" instead of "One Seven One" so we think that was to differentiate from the other train with the same symbol. We saw your HU report that you spotted the HU in Walton! Nice! We tried to get to Walton but the train was really moving. We saw your report on HU about 5 minutes before we got to Walton!
