Hmm. UCLA's (or uk-la's) Geffen School is very good, especially combined with the Caltech MSTP (MD-PhD), but I'd still put UCSF ahead. UCSF's research budget and per student endowment is amazing. I'd also pick UPenn over Columbia in the Ivy League match up. ...but all are amazing, and as I probably couldn't pass an intro biology course, let alone get into any of these schools, I would defer to anyone who could.
