@@ElJaviTuning They were from fiveomotorsport. I've had very good luck with them over many years. The ones I had were for a Subaru. I'm sorry, I don't remember what years were compatible. If you're building an SR20, there are several years of Subarus that had the same style side feed injectors. For some reason they tend to be cheaper than their SR20 variants. The only modification you'll need to do is use the pigtails that fit the Subaru. They're a fairly standard connector I'm sorry I don't remember what they're called.

@@OpenLogicEFI I'm built a 4g63, I'm trying to go 50% methanol blend 50% pump gasoline mix. I think I need at least 1600cc or something.
@OpenLogicEFI

@@ElJaviTuning Depends on how much power your want to make. I am using e85 out of the pump (about 70-75%) and have had zero knock issues at 26-28psi. I think methanol is about 6:1 stoich, with half pump gas you'll be similar to ethanol. Depending on how much power you want to make e85 might be a much cheaper way to go and won't require playing the mixing game.

A few days but very lightly. I only got on it to make the video. If I pushed the throttle to more than 3/4 it would trip an overboost since the wastegate perimeters changed with the new turbo. The tune is by Stratisfied.

That's my daily driver. Because of it's age it's required to pass NYS emissions and have a working OBD2 port so this car isn't on one of my ecu's. Although all of my ecu's are Speeduino compatible and use official speeduino firmware. There are thousands of successful installs all over the world. So searching for speeduino results will give you an idea of what you're looking at. The main differences between most boards will be the way it's installed and/or the amount of output channels. But they all run on the same basic firmware.

Can't find an estimate on rebuilding one. Mines definitely knocking. Faint right now but it's getting worse and I can smell metal friction up hill. Would it be cheaper to have motor rebuilt 'NOT BY ME' or swapped with a reman one or salvaged? Any ideas? Not estimates but experience based knowledge!!
@OpenLogicEFI
@OpenLogicEFI Жыл бұрын
Unless it's a race engine and/or you have the capability to build it yourself in almost all cases a salvage yard engine will be the cheapest option. More expensive but still cheaper would be a remanufactured engine. Of all the engines I've swapped for customers or myself over the years I've had very good luck with well researched salvage yard engines. Check out car-part.com if you're in the US. It's a listing of available parts in salvage yards across the country.

@@OpenLogicEFI if it's just the block, should be able to just reconnect all the other stuff? How much time should it take a GOOD shop to swap out engine? Seems like a straightforward job for a professional, not Really much to take apart.
@OpenLogicEFI
@OpenLogicEFI Жыл бұрын
@@remissiveslave You would want to buy the whole engine. Something we call a long block. Anywhere the oil flows such as the cylinder head, etc. Is compromised because of the metal flowing through it. But yes, anything on the outside of the engine that's working will be swapped over to the new long block. That's part of an engine swap. For a good mechanic this specific engine swap is very straightforward. Don't get me wrong, an engine swap is hard work no matter what it is. It's still 6 to 10 or more hours worth of work.

oil is as important to an engine as water to us... no matter what i do to a car or can't do to a car, i always make sure the engine have oil. i remember the early 2000s in my teen years being broke, always wanting to cruise and visit friends and girls (drink, toke, chill), riding in my mommas old 77 chevy caprice that leak oil like a mofo. i always stop by gas stations and buy cheap ass detergent oil that look clear as hell lol, and i always make sure to top it off... now i think about it, broke ass fools never help me on gas and oil, and broke ass skanks got allot of free ride lol anyway, nice build bro, im riding a 1zz-fe now, thinking about rebuilding and adding a supercharger instead.. these engine will run forever, just like hondas

I think it's personal preference honestly. People will argue the one they have is better simply because it's the one they have.
