I still main Northstar til this day I love using her since I’ve put in so much practice with how to use her properly so now I play damage support from far range whilst I’m protecting objective whilst shooting aiming some distance away and I just let the enemy titans come to me whilst I distance myself push back into the friendly captured areas on a map and I let my team all push whilst I’m attacking from behind them using them as cover and dps attack offensive support whilst I play a much safer match protecting points and players and or other npcs that are helping gain points behind or beside my Titan I love how perfect Northstar is for that sorta thing

Scorch lacks MASSIVELY on long range. You can’t really do anything in open space tbh. I’m a G4.9 Scorch Main and I admit too, you see a good Northstar in LPNG RANGE your pretty much cooked.

I cannot play with other monarchs because it ends up just being a race on whoever can execute the enemy titan first

Y'know it's weird, idk what we were hoping for but.... My friend was temporarily a legion (he Monarch main) and was playing as Ion, i saw, a few bullets on Ion's shield when he used close range power shot, when he used long rang, i only saw one bullet instead of few.

I've just got back to Titan Fall 2 after playing Destiny 2 for 4+ years, and I've had to re-learn many things. This tutorial has helped a great amount, so thank you. And reference the guitar. My dog ate my E string, actually bit into it, which means I will have to buy all the strings and hide the guitar at my office to make sure that ZILLA (Dogzilla) does not chew my guitar again. I'm playing Titanfall 2 again and loving it. But Titanfall 1 was my favorite. Movement seemed so much faster.

The nuke eject Strat may not work too well, namely because it's hard to time the traps right (I think Respawn may have added an activation delay) and you can only take out 1-2 titans with it. Also, smart people who have a dash or two can just shoot the trap and evade the blast, even if it will probably cause damage. Personally, I prefer Overcore even though you say it's useless, because it is ridiculously fun to use flight core (also you can use smoke for cover every time you use the core

i think a major part of it is playing objective based gamemodes. nothing but endless killing just doesn't do it for me. it actually wasn't until i remembered that TF2's capture the flag sucks that my love for arena shooters got reignited. i'm aware that quake invented internet server deathmatch but if new players come into the game thinking that deathmatch is a good way to get into it then the game is going to stay low playercount. i believe team fortress 2 is an offshoot of arena shooters that is much easier to get into (hence the much higher player numbers) that has classes so as not to overwhelm new players rather than just giving them all the weapons at once and when you introduce the game that spawned TF2, you have to make up for the overwhelming gameplay by creating an environment that makes people not worry about the hardcore-ness of the game and just enjoy playing a damn game because it's fun. for me, that's CTF. i was told by someone on reddit that unreal tournament may have done CTF better than quake, so now i have an incentive to try out unreal tournament as well. before that, i just bought it on steam to try it out and stopped playing it after maybe 30 minutes because i wasn't sure what i was looking for. i was born when these games were coming out and i grew up on tf2 and it just so happens that i fell in love with tf2 as a 12 year old kid and now i'm ready to ditch the class-based system in favor of arena shooters and that's why i've moved from tf2 to open fortress. i don't know if i'm quite ready for quake yet considering it's basically an Esport, but Open Fortress is right up my alley and it makes me sad that it has no players if you want to get into guitar, do you start playing van halen or metallica or do you start with green day? we need to create an accessible environment for new players if we ever want quake (or arena shooters in general) to become big again. one of this elitist "quake deathmatch is as good as it gets" crap

Nightmare in Quake was difficult. Death Knights didn't relieve any hardship getting through single player campaign.
