Nice to see how you use your motor home. Good to get ideas from others. From a production point of view, consider using collar microphones. It will make the audio so much clearer and takes away the background noise to a degree. Keep those videos coming, we will be watching! (KarMar travels FA25-1)

Hi mate, thanks for your comment. We do have a set of Rode external mics that we've used in a lot of our videos. However, we were trialing our new Insta360 on the dash and wanted to evaluate the sound quality of it. Even with Voice Isolation settings on in the editing software, it wasn't the greatest as the cabin noise is extreme😱. So we'll go back to using the external mics in future. Glad you are enjoying our content and thanks heaps for your support 🙏🏻

I love cooking with the gas oven 😋 I just put a chopping board on the gas top burners on stove top an use an electric thing to do the pan or pot and save on gas but gas is the easiest way to cook love it , especially on the top burner it's heat can be adjusted in seconds , but out bush even in the city it's hard to find refill stations to refill them and that's cheaper , the swap and goes are expensive , so yer im trying to adapt to electric , and yep instead off installing a big inverter and getting it wired up its probably better to go two big blueys and like you said they can go from car to van very convenient
@CharchysMotorhomeTravels2 күн бұрын
Hi David, yes the oven did a great job. We have heard that about gas in remote places so we'll have to keep that in mind. We are about to do a test on running the air conditioner on the big Bluetti to see how many hours we can get out of it. It will be in an upcoming episode. Should be interesting. We have 4 pack of Hardkorr lights they have a strap and magnet to hang secure in and outside our caravan. They have a yello light setting, very handy and 12 volt rechargeable. Kings do a version but not as good and take a lot longer to recharge. You will learn never pass up a dump point. A Fleximate water bladder is also very handy for off grid, take it in your vehicle when out exploring then pump into motor home tanks.

Even have one of the storage bins with our alcohol in it 🎉 So when we leave, all we have to think about is our food. We just bring our clothes back home after a trip wash them, then return them back to I'be !! That is our name for our motorhome. Hope to see on the road.

Hi Gwynne, thanks for your comment 🙏🏻 Yeah, we considered the off-grid package but decided against it as it all adds weight to the motorhome. With the Bluetti, we have the option of putting it in the Jimny to distribute the weight and it's also portable so if we want to head out 4WDing for the day, we can take it with us to run the induction cooker, portable fridge etc. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

Totally agree with the doggy restraint, it is a legal requirement. Hey, also just wondering ,when you need to use your loo on a trip, how do you get passed that wall behind you? Lyn & Bobby
@CharchysMotorhomeTravels23 күн бұрын
Hi Lyn and Bobby. Yes, we made another rookie error with Tonka. In Qld, there is no requirement to restrain them so we are going to either have to install an anchor point, or tether him with a lead to the base of the table and run the lead under the seating. With the loo, there are a couple of options. Either commando roll over the wall and bed while humming the theme from Mission Impossible, or if stopped at a place where space is available, put out the slide out (only takes a few seconds), or if stopped at a service station/rest area, use their toilets. Thanks so much for watching 🙏🏻😊

We had a similar banging noise when we were driving our new MH home, it turned to be the the slide out pantry next to sink, it had been fitted to far in and wouldn’t lock into place. I removed it and refitted it. All good now. Hopefully catch up one day.

But we don’t know what the axle weights should be when fully loaded so we distribute the weight properly.

Hi guys love your posts, we have found then to be the most informative videos so far for Jayco Motorhome but the in a humorous way. I mentioned RedFoot levellers in a previous post. Maybe it was helpful. I noticed you have a Suzuki Jimney Is that your tow vehicle? Is that you tow vehicle. Can you post a little bit of information about that . How do you find it , where did your tow hitch from? Do you find the Jimmy under powered and is yours automatic? I have also heard you have to do something to the gearbox for flat towing???? Keep the videos coming and hopefully see you on the road.
@CharchysMotorhomeTravelsАй бұрын
Hi Matthew. Thanks for your comment. We are so happy that you are finding our episodes helpful. Yes, we did consider the RedFoot levellers but having now weighed our vehicle, we realise that we won't have the weight capacity as they weigh roughly 80kg. Yes the Jimny is our tow vehicle. We have an episode coming up that will show you what's involved in setting it up for towing and the fitting of the Predator A frame system and dog clutch. We had Custom Towbars fit our system who are the accredited fitters for Northcoach. Our Jimny is an automatic and it's not the most powerful 4WD on the road but it's a really capable off-road vehicle. We've put it through its paces in a number of our previous episodes and found it to be a really fun vehicle to drive. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
