Good showing by Johnny in the stage fight where he hits the attacker with his guitar. That guy was like a foot taller and 40 pounds heavier.

That would be John Spacely aka Gringo. So sad, Johnny was only 38 when he died … absolutely tragic 😞

What was that onstage punch up about, where was it, and who was it who hit Johnny?
@70shooker77
@70shooker77 2 жыл бұрын
Essentially, it was about Johnny’s ‘ego’ problem, and how he forced himself up on the mic by pushing John Spacely out of the way. Spacely was the one who threw the first punch. I believe, if I’m remembering correctly, this happened at Max’s Kansas City in the late 70’s, early 80’s. I could be wrong about that.

Spacely- a wanna-be icon of the time with no talent. Too much junkie business. But Johnny's greatness never fades.

I'd say anyone who listens to The Dolls, the Heartbreakers or Johnny solo and don't like it? They have no right to say they like rock & roll. They need to fuck off and listen to hip hop or Streisand.
