Greetings from California! Recently stumbled upon your channel and have really enjoyed seeing what books you've come across. As a book lover who also has an interest in reselling (because I have way too much stuff 😕) it's nice to see what items others find out in the wild. I lived in England for 3 years and always loved searching around the charity/secondhand shops for treasure. 💓 Good luck on your future book hunting adventures!

Skullduggery is quite a good read to be fair. I think I read teh first 3 and enjoyed them. Lemony Snicket boks are awful. I found the first couple interesting, then after that they get worse and worse. I think they go too off the wall after the first 2 and it ruins it. Some good finds as always!

I agree the Lemony Snicket stories are getting wilder and weirder, but they are a quick read so I will probably finish them soon!

I love the original books I listened to the audio books when they first came out. I was a child and loved them my parents would buy them for me and I would have them when we went on holiday in the uk, so I have very fond memories, I think they are amazing the level of detail about the world and how humans would have lived thousand of years ago is fascinating its clear she did a lot of research, not only are they accurate but she also makes the character and story very fun, engaging and enjoyable. I am much older now and was so happy to find out she had written more in the series but sadly I listened to vipers daughter and it wasn't as good as the previous books and the reason in my opinion is because the writing style does not fit the age of the main character he has not been aged up, in the first book the main character is 12 and he still feel 12 in this book, even though he is supposed to be 17 if you hadn't of know he was 17 you would still believe him to be a little boy. I do not know whether I will read the last two books.

That is such a shame to hear. It must be very difficult for an author to re-visit a beloved series, as there will be such high expectations. I wonder sometimes if they would be better off leaving as is and developing the new stories in the universe they have created with fresh characters, with a nod to the originals for the fans.

Sissy Spacek reading To Kill A Mockingbird is AMAZING; I hope you enjoy it. It's one of my top ten books, and I try to read it at least once a year. It's actually quite a slim book and well worth a read, but I was so pleased to listen to the audiobook, as now, when I read it, I hear the characters in Sissy's voice. Some great pick-ups (the "Hunger Games meets Jurassic Park" is intriguing) and another brilliant video - thanks ever-so-much for sharing it.

Can I ask how you get away with FREE P&P on your listinhgs, as I sell a few books on ebay and to send them signed for its like £3-4 a time which is crazy! But I'd love to sell more, so any tips please?
@ReadRe-sellRepeat29 күн бұрын
I send them Royal Mail Tracked 48 hour usually, but use Evri for larger/heavier parcels. I only tend to sell sets of books unless an individual book has significant value. My minimum sale price to ensure profit is £9.99. The most important thing is to find the books at a low price to start with, ideally well under £1. I will pay more for books I want to read, or to complete a set. Unfortunately some books just aren't worth the postage costs to sell online.

@@ReadRe-sellRepeat Thanks, that some good advice. Yeah, it annoys me when I try and sell one cheaper than anyone else and people try throwing in low ball offers... its like I won't make anything if I were to sell it that cheap! lol.

Ive tried to stop buying books... but nope its impossible! lol It annoys me that they make book series boxes so tight like that. A few times Ive binned the boxes as once you've read a couple they dont fit back in their box most of the time. They should allow a little room for expansion in the pages. Good deals though, and I never knew there were so many of those cat books. No wonder I see them everywhere! - Are they acually any good?
@ReadRe-sellRepeatАй бұрын
The first series of warrior cats was great, real page turners, fast paced, great characters. A household moggy gets involved with the local wild cats (some born wild, some left behind or abandoned) they form clans and fight over territory. They have their own myths and beliefs. I hope the rest of the books live up to the first ones!

@ReadRe-sellRepeat2 ай бұрын
Thanks! He is fab, I have read quite a few, I think my favourite was The Bridge, an amazing, unique and difficult to describe book! Yes lots of the charity shops around here started raising their prices, but a few have dropped them again. I think they realised they were getting more than they could handle if they overpriced them as they just stayed on the shelf. It is better for them to have a high turnover so they don't end up turning away a high value book due to lack of space.

@@ReadRe-sellRepeat I agree. Some times I wonder why some keep their prices so high. There are a couple I dont even go into anymore as their prices are laughable. Surely, take a small hit and get more sales and more customers. - Ive subbed by teh way. Good videos

I am looking out for them, along with the rest of the Clan of the Cave Bear series. Have you read any other prehistoric fantasy novels that you would recommend? Julian May's "Saga of the Exiles" was set in the Pliocene era, but it's a very different type of fantasy/sci-fi. Highly recommend it, one of my all time favourite series and author.
