Hello! Sorry for the delay in responding, we've been dealing with a tropical storm here 🙂 The touch pad is not haptic, you have to press down on it to select. I am used to that as over the years most touch pads have not been haptic. The speaker is ok. Not the best, nor the worst. I can hear and understand but you're not going to get a lot of bass. I have had no heating issues with this laptop. I use it mainly for work as I can work remotely. I've also watched videos with it, banked, email...never thought it was too hot.

Sorry for the late replay, I've been in Mexico on vacation. No, this is much better than a TN screen. I remember those back when I was using Chromebooks for a bit :-). I am usually looking at it head on so no issues there. I would say it has a good viewing range. The Swift Gos are darn good computers!

The brightness of this screen in a room is really too bright for me. I usually keep it at about 70%. I can't honestly say about outside use as I typically don't use it outdoors.

Thanks! Yes, I too wish it had access to one of the cloud services. When you email a notebook it is pretty easy to do. I'd love to see Apple of and Android tablet just like this Kindle, but with apps allowing for access to all the ereader services.

It's been working fine for me. I haven't had any heating issues but then, I use mine for work, watching You Tube videos, email, that sort of thing. I tend to keep it around 50-60% brightness. 100% is too bright for me! :-). I have not had any battery issues. It's no Macbook Pro or AI PC, but I find I can get through a work day with it. In my opinion, this should last you 3-4 years.

battery backup will be 4- 5 hrs in max resolution and 90 Hz , If you use FHD+ 1920×1200 and 60 Hz it'll give 7+ hrs

Hello and thanks for the question. I have had no heating issues. It does get warm when you push it, but it's never done anything like shut itself down. The fans will come on if needed.

Heat- Nothing out of the ordinary. It has fans and they do come on when needed. I would say that it's n o hotter then the average laptop under every day use. Battery- now, I use mine for work, mainly when I am out of town or at home so I don't watch a lot of movies with it. I'd estimate you'll get 6 hrs if your streaming movies constantly.

Thanks for the question! I still have mine and have had no issues with it. I use my Acer almost daily. Usually for work or to check in on emails and such. I also take it with me on trips so I can stay in touch with work (the owner had given us really basic Lenovo laptops and so I just use mine). I haven't had to have any service on mine, yet. I will say, I do tend to change out my laptops every 2-3 years and I don't see this having any issues lasting that long. Still a great laptop.

Very rare over the last 30 or so years. I think using the music stays more true to the film and gives you a better feeling for it as well.

It's been a few years that I last watched this film. I remember I really enjoyed it and I really need to watch it again. Kurosawa was a master of cinema.

Oh, yes...I have two coworkers that are artists and they both use IPad Pros. The Scribe is nowhere near what an artist would need (imho). It's great for reading and using for work/ taking notes.

Hello! Thanks, I did forget to mention the highlighting. YES, you can highlight the text. I highlight quite a bit myself and it even tells you how many other people have highlighted parts of the text. Amazon tends to put the Scribe on sale every few months so keep an eye out.

I bought an extra pack of nibs as I wasn't sure how long they would last. I'm on my second nib after a year of use. LOL

@@NNI4262 I actually used the basic pen when I first got the Scribe, then got the Premium pen for a really good deal. It definitely wears slower (I assume because of the eraser end)

That eraser end was the reason I upgraded. Love it.
