Super late comment, but I gave an intersing glitch that happens with the shooting range. I noticed by settlers were changing back to thier default clothing even if I took it out of thier inventory. Turns out when they use the shooting range it puts them back to thier default gear. Cool thing is this works on certain companions as well like Hancock and Piper. I have been farming Hancocks coat and hat and I am going to dress all the the ghouls at the Slog like Hancock 😂.

Hangman's Alley is the best early-game base to set up a legendary/XP farm, but it has drawbacks. Wandering merchants will often path into battle, there is a nearby random spawn point which can also cause problems, sometimes the spawned mobs will get stuck among the derelict cars in the underpass in back of the base, and it has three spawn points. Hangman's Alley is close to Diamond City and its merchants, and if you can't make your own merchants, that is crucial for selling all the guns and armor. Nuka World Red Rocket is the best mid and late game base, it only has one spawn point. Buy the Big Boy legendary fatman in Diamond City, slap the Nuka Launcher Mod on that puppy, flip the switch and let her rip. There will be so many dead bodies and loot, it will lag your computer.
