?? What for . So that she could play one match and be eliminated? xD Sabalenka is not playing because he is from Belarus. Plus comparing Sabalenka to Raducanu are you serious?? who has trouble playing several matches in a row. xd

Sad she’s not playing but I cannot say I am surprised with her decision. I would imagine many of the Belarusian and Russian players will opt out of the Olympics.
@mathewwilson97767 сағат бұрын
It shouldn’t be optional: every Russian and every enabler should have all visa’s revoked and be deported. Not being allowed to have a flag next to their name in a draw is just a symbolic joke the weak and idiotik West believes helps accomplish something.

If the players are mad that Radacanu won a grand slam, they should have beaten her then. It seems a lot of higher ranked players at that US Open were choking under the pressure of beating the upstarts in Radacanu and Leyla that year.

I'm also not sold on Jabeur, Pegula, Sakkari, or Kasatkina. Muchova is a very fine player with nice variety in her game. She looked incredible at RG last year. But her injury history is all too real and keeps her out of relevance at 1000s and majors for me.
@kevinlakeman5043Күн бұрын
Collins could generate a good bit of hype, I'd say, with her play this season. Also, I'm with you on Rybakina for now. She's a remarkably skilled player w/clear strengths to her game, and deserves her place among the top 10. But she's enigmatic, falling to lesser players too often; and then there's the health issues she has w/ illnesses. She seems like a wonderful, kindhearted person, and she's very well liked on tour, but she hasn't convinced me she's truly relevant at 1000s and majors. She should have more titles by now.
@andehbridget186120 сағат бұрын
You’re just a hater. Elena reached a grand slam final last year and won 2 master 1000 tournaments plus was a masters 1000 runner up. This year is not even over and she has made 2 masters 1000 finals, won 3 500 titles and 1grandslam QF despite being sick and had to pull out from 3 masters 1000 titles…how else do you want to be convince??? Aside from Iga and Sabalenka, who else on tour has done better than Elena this year??? What’s the difference between Elena losing to Paolini in the QF and Coco losing to Iga in the SF? A loss is still a loss whether you lose to a higher rank player or a lower rank player so quit with your bias and judgemental self…your jealousy stinks 😷

Thanks for the mention of Petko's article. It was stellar work by her, both in the content and the actual quality of the writing itself. She shows great insight into the game itself, with the mindset of a 16 year pro. She also makes a well worded comment on the hatemongering types who take their issues out on the famous, the best at their trades; in this case on Swiatek and much of the WTA in general. I guess it's easier for them to vent their misery on others rather than deal w/ themselves and get happy.

Iga won junior Wimbledon, so she can do it on grass,it took Rafa a while before he won Wimbledon ,Iga doesn't get the credit she deserves or the recognition she deserves,if she came from the US you would be shouting from the roof tops,but she omes from Poland which doesnt have a history of producing tennis players,I think is is brilliant, she is modest down to earth, and keeps her feet on the ground,she is already 4000 points over the No 2 on th WTA rankings

That's the biggest bunch of fanboy bull. She gets lauded by every single analyst, commentator, player, or sportswriter who covers tennis. I follow every tournament she plays in and hear it every single match. Stop playing the 'poor Iga' victim card for attention. She's the best and it's known all over the true tennis world. There are droves of videos right here on KZbin to attest to it.
