I was in Burleson on Wednesday, October 9 to see 4014 arrive in North Central Texas I went to the event in Fort Worth on Thursday and got an autograph from Ed Dickens then on Sunday morning October 13 before I was to work at my Fort Worth job I got up at the crack of dawn to drive to downtown Denton to watch big boy 4014 depart for Oklahoma it was certainly a marvelous thing to witness for the third time in my life and it’s second visit to North Central Texas the world‘s largest operating steam locomotive Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 it also was a pity that SD70Mac number 4015 had some issues but it was especially cool that Union Pacific pitched in one of their rebuilt Dash 9 locomotives it’s super awesome that General Electric’s successor Wabtec is rebuilding all the older GE locomotives as far back as the dash 8 locomotives

I tried twice to get to ride the train but due to outside forces had to leave town... the second time losing the price of the tickets... so I guess youtube will have to do.

@@chrisniner8772 we didn’t have any issues and we only stayed in Chama 1 1/2 days. We got a small Air B&B outside of town and stayed the night before our trip

Fuel flashback, it’s when the fuel in the firebox stops burning due to any real reason but then “flashes back” when it hits the hot sides of the firebox and gets enough oxygen to ignite
