It is a great pity that this tutorial, which is useful in itself, is overshadowed by the pedal use. It feels like I am listening to vegetable soup.

Hi, from what renditions I have heard I have noticed in your rendition the triplets are played differently from every other rendition. It really gives another view on the composition hence I liked the video.

Absolute begginer but with much motivation with this piece... Do you think I could succeed ? I know It is difficult to answer but I would appreciate you opinión. Thanks
@dirkchanpiano21 күн бұрын
Hi there, a piece or a few pieces you want to learn is a great way to get started with playing, as it gives you the motivation to continue learning, and also makes it worthwhile, as you are playing pieces you enjoy listening to. It may take some time, as the notes span a few octaves and not just limited to a small range, however, as you come to each part that may be a challenge, eg a jump, you can take that as an opportunity to learn new skills. When it gets too difficult, then you can learn other pieces that are slightly easier, and soon, you may be ready to tackle the next challenge of this piece, and so on. We all start somewhere! Hope this helps.

on a scale of 1-10, how hard do you think this would be to learn? im between beginner and intermediate level
@dirkchanpiano4 ай бұрын
If you are an intermediate player, it may be a 7 or 7.5 out of 10 to learn. Some places have jumps in one or both hands to cover spans of over an octave, so these areas, of which there are several, you may need to spend more time than most other areas, to hit the correct notes, at the correct tempo.

Beautiful. I love this piece of Faure's :) There's more of his works you can explore in the Impressionist playlist. Refer to: kzbin.info/aero/PLo4FXejHsua5BTLx1pNKDJDa5AOTyydPK&feature=shared Performance wise, I would suggest practicing more with the sustain pedal as to not let the passages clash with each other, only use the sustain pedal as a tool to highlight and to separate the chord progressions of each measure. It can also be used to create impressionist effects, only if used effectively.

Beautiful interpretation! I wanted to ask you do you know if performances of 1st and 3rd movement exist, because it doesn't seem so. I tried to find them but unsuccessful so far, which is sad because I sightread (very very slow) from Stradal's transcription 1st and 3rd mov. and they're magnificent, they deserve to be performed.

I have a rare piano transcription of BWV 601 Herr Christ, der einge Gottessohn (Herr gott, nun sei gepreiset). I wasn't able to find it anywhere on the internet. If I remember correctly it's from 1970's from Ukraine, so I scanned it and if you want I can send it to you.
