Bro here is the correction Factory rent is a direct expense related to manufacturing. It should be debited (if not in manufacturing account) to the Trading Account not the Profit and Loss Account. Reason: - Trading Account records direct costs of production, like factory rent. And Nominal Accounts (like expense accounts) are closed at the end of the accounting period and transferred to the Profit and Loss Account. So, factory rent is debited to the Trading Account.
